WELCOME BACK, MR. MENDO! :)
11/3/2012 4:20:11 PM
Thank you!

I was wondering if you had a favorite episode of Sailor Moon, and what do you think of the straight to video movies? Just out of curiosity...
11/3/2012 9:09:12 PM
Of all the Sailor Moon movies, Super S is my favorite (with S as a close second). In general, I don't think I was still watching the show when they brought in Sailor Saturn, but I remember Uranus, Neptune and Pluto being part of the cast when I last checked. My favorite story was probably the Wicked Lady arc. It just seemed like such an unusual idea at the time. :-)
11/4/2012 6:22:47 AM
Yeah it started to get really weird and confusing when Saturn came into the picture. But it was entertaining to watch, as the series progressed, how weird they could make the villains.
11/4/2012 8:14:17 AM
You want a weird progression of villains? You should check out Wedding Peach, possibly my second favorite Sailor Moon knock-off, after the Tenchi Muyo spin-off franchise Pretty Sammy, of course!
11/4/2012 1:24:20 PM
Huh, never heard of Wedding Peach and Pretty Sammy. Then again I have only in the last couple of years gotten back into anime, with my previous exposure being morning cartoons on channel 6, Cartoon Network's Toonami and Adult Swim, and of course to occasional rental at, when it was open, Blockbuster of obscure anime movies.
11/4/2012 6:02:04 PM
Well, Pretty Sammy is (at its core) just an alternate reality version of Tenchi Muyo where all the characters are part of a lighthearted parody of Sailor Moon. (Exactly how many of the characters depends on whether you're watching Magical Girl Pretty Sammy or Magical Project S. There was a third series, but fuck that garbage!) Wedding Peach is a more straightforward rip-off that has the added benefit of being completely insane, even by magical girl anime standards. The series mythology borders on nonsensical and it plays pretty fast and loose with its own internal logic, but I have a soft spot in my heart for it. How big of one? Once, when I needed money to pay off a traffic ticket, I sold Mr. Scratch the entire series on DVD; then, about a year later, I called him out in California BEGGING to get them back. Mr. Scratch is a good friend, is what I'm trying to say, here. :-)
11/5/2012 12:20:28 AM
Yeah I decided to watch the first episode of Wedding Peach, and well...I don't know what to say, except how the hell did the creators not get sued. But besides this, its your very typical magical girl anime, with the exception of the semi-insulting equating marriage to a superhero power aspect, and over cuteness, its seems pretty harmless, just on face value alone. I might watch more just out of curiosity to see how supposedly insane you say it gets.
11/5/2012 12:59:36 AM
Keep watching...
11/24/2012 5:24:53 AM
I once read a dumbass rumour that there was going to be more Sailor Moon if it wasn't for...Pioneer suing them (which didn't happen, of course) claiming infringement on Pretty Sammy.
11/24/2012 6:31:13 AM
Sadly, I have no trouble accepting that people would believe that... :-(
11/3/2012 7:17:13 AM
So, how did y'all like the randomness section? I edited that, myself!
11/3/2012 6:53:24 AM
Is anyone else worried about the mental health of Mendo and Renegado? Cthulhu doesn't warp minds that much...
11/3/2012 7:14:38 AM
Come to think of it, I have felt a little different, lately. Can't figure it out... *scratches head*
11/3/2012 6:46:48 AM
Very cool you're back! You guys did done good in dis hear video.Minor thought which you should probably disregard, just expressing my preference (not a criticism): my favorite videos of yours so far have been the ones in which you've gone after the overly praised films ("Juno," "Forrest Gump," "The Help," "Scott Pilgrim," "Donnie Darko," "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind"). This "Sailor and the 7 Ballz" stuff is so awful maybe it's slightly less fun just because I don't get the satisfaction of seeing you take on a critical challenge -- this movie can't fight back! That said, it was fun to see how fucked up this was after seeing an ad for it in a comic book magazine years ago... Just a thought to take or leave or take a poop on. Yours in agony, always.
11/3/2012 7:12:08 AM
Well, I wouldn't go so far as to call myself a fanboy, but I do feel slightly protective of Sailor Moon. At the very least, she deserves better pornos than these... :-)
11/3/2012 5:58:23 AM
Good to see you back man, and as before all I can say is that I have personally drawn better porn than this.
11/3/2012 6:00:00 AM
I still have some of it, even! ;-)
11/3/2012 4:07:05 AM
Its awesome you came back. But the movie http://geekmecca.com/wp-content/plugins/RSSPoster_PRO/cache/46550_sinister1.gif. J.K. Thank you all for bringing him back.:)

11/3/2012 4:46:14 AM

11/3/2012 4:48:10 AM
Ah, OK. I thought that was an ad for Sinister for a second...
11/3/2012 12:20:32 AM
Michael, it's great to have you back! And it was great seeing you plug my book in the beginning! The paperback version of my book went from number 2,150,000 on the Amazon sales charts to 1,052,476! That's like a change of...some kind of percentage. You're the bee's knees. Plus poorly animated sex.
11/3/2012 1:34:41 AM
49%, I believe!
11/3/2012 2:26:15 PM
And you're a math wizard!
11/2/2012 7:10:44 PM
Ah, dork dollars. How many do I owe you now, Mendo? And because I owe one for every time I quote the IT Crowd, 0118 999 881 999 119 725...3
11/2/2012 9:01:17 PM
A thousand! And you have to hit yourself, like, really hard! Do it now!
11/3/2012 1:59:38 AM
I think he just wants to see you hit yourself.
11/2/2012 6:47:17 PM
It feels so good to be back! :-)
11/2/2012 11:54:22 PM
