It's Ursa's 50th review! She's massively excited, though not everyone else is quite as thrilled. This week, we side with the Browncoats in a Serenity-themed "Agency vs. Structure" Smackdown! With cameos from Welshy, Cheapus, FunkyMonkey, Sofie Liv, the Porn Critic, and Mysterious Overlord of the UFOAgony Booth Winston O'Boogie, it's going to be... interesting.
Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD (so far)
“Agents of SHIELD is undoubtedly a weak show—staying awake through all six episodes again to write this post was a bit of a challenge—but it doesn’t appear that great, memorable TV was ever really the goal here.”The Cabin in the Woods (2012): A loving hate letter to horror
“It’s really amusing to watch each character get slowly dumbed down before our eyes. It’s like watching the history of slasher films itself, as each sequel becomes stupider, more clichéd, and less human and enjoyable.”Children of Men (2006)
“You’re constantly waiting for one errant bullet or one bit of shrapnel to end the entire human race as we know it. As far as action movies go, the stakes don’t get any higher.”Love Actually (2003)
'Tis the season for love, actually, with Hugh Grant as Prime Minister, more than one lobster present at the birth of Jesus Christ, and innumerable subplots. Or at least, the three subplots Ursa thinks are most interesting.Stargate SG-1 “Avenger 2.0”
“While it isn’t the worst concept for an episode ever, it’s still not winning fan love, twelve years after it aired. Okay, so maybe some fans love it, but this fan cringes over the existence of it.”Firefly fans: It’s time to forgive Fox
“As much as Firefly fans rail against Fox, it’s extremely unlikely the show would have lasted any longer (or even been picked up at all) by any of the other major networks back in 2002. It really is an unfortunate case of sci-fi fans biting the hand that feeds them.”
