there was no concept of vampires in acient egypt because there must be a concept of hell and the acient egyptians were eternal optimists with no version of a hell in their mythology so screw you stephanie myers and ann rice

Oh jeez, I'm having Rifftrax flashbacks!I thought the guy driving the van that nearly (damn!) hit Bella was Stinkmeaner from The Boondocks. Black, pretty much blind and driving way too fast in a van in the parking lot (Being English I should say Car Park but I HAVE to Americanise everything for you Yanks! I don't know if it's Lot or Car Park in Denmark). I expected him to be singing Ave Maria! It's hard to believe it's been four years since these a-craptations were made and how many people have bashed it. Nice to know Miss Liv is here to provide her view (not that it differs from many others!)

Thank god for 'The Hunger Games'. Young girls now have A much better female heroine to look up to that even us guys can appreciate. Plus, it's A great cautionary tale of freedom vs. state control, as well as A scathing satire on reality television.
4/8/2012 2:20:30 AM
I still have to read that book! I've requested one to be put on hold at the library, but they're so popular right now that it might take a while to get one. *Sigh* This is why I sometimes wait a few months to read a popular book, but with this one- the preview on Google Books is enough to get me hooked! As for good female heroines that young girls of this generation have, does Hermione Granger count?
4/8/2012 5:05:28 AM
Well, i've seen the movie now.And I have to grant, even though being a flawed story and a flawed movie, it is FAR more interesting story, a far more likeable and genuinely conflicted heroine and FAAAR healthier than twilight. I sort of like how that movie was all "Reality programs are eviiiiil" in a sort of in your face kind of way. and yet the movie is popular with the young crowds..There's some kind of ironic justice hidden in there isn't there?I mean yeah, reality tv is very evil. But it's the very age group whom goes bananas over Hungergames whom loves that stuff and keeps it so strong. Yeah, i'll take hunger games over twilight any day of the week. All though I will always prefer Harry potter :3
4/8/2012 9:38:47 AM
Um. Hunger Games is not a commentary on reality television, thanks.
4/8/2012 9:59:07 AM
Well, that is MY interpretation of it. Doesn't need to be yours, but it is mine. There were kind of a conversation in the beginning of the movie where the boy said. "If people didn't watch, there wouldn't be any hunger games."How they need to dress up and become pretty for the public to see, how it all becomes a "popularity contest." towards the general public, only instead of it being a popularity contest in the hopes of not getting voted him it's a popularity contest of NOT DYING! The rich people all treat it as "it's such an honour to be in these games, really it is!" small kids running around with sticks in the back-ground playing that they are a part of the hunger games, just for the rush of it. Public people cheering for their favourite contestant. The television transmission having to go with what the public wants. So.. that is what I base MY interpretation on PART of the movie.Cause yeas! there's lots of other subjects and questions raised which is... good. A movie doesn't need to be about only one thing you know. In fact i'll say the best kind of movies is the ones raising an argument where both sides have a say and both sides have a reasonable point presented instead of going. "I'm good guy with a point." "Muhaha, I'm evil guy whom doesn't listen to points." The "I got a point and a reason." "Well I got a point and a reason to, can't help it hurts you." is much more interesting to me, and Hunger games is indeed kind of like that. The rich people have a reason.. it's just out of control now and has become inhuman. Perhaps it was ones necessary in a extreme situation, but now it's 74 years later, so they should have found another solution now. Why don't they? Out of fear of what may happen. There's more than one point to the movie. which again, is very good. But it's still not flawless!
3/31/2012 7:39:38 PM
Hmmmm.I dunno, I was hoping to get more into this video. I don't blame it on you, Sofie. More my own overexposure to this mess of a series.
3/31/2012 7:54:27 PM
know what you mean..THIS WAS MY THIRD TIME GOING THROUGH THAT MOVIE!was conned into seeing it ones by a bunch of really scary girls, got conned ones again by my own flesh and blood, my SISTER! to watch it so we could hang out for ones. And then I was dumb enough to decide to do a review. This movie is sooooo boring. There isn't even that much to it, and yet I am exposed to the phenomena itself on almost an every-day basis. I just.. jesus, what's the matter with you people! I am actually Hunger games is happening now, because people are talking about some-thing else for a change! and it's slightly more interesting to. Well, hope you can get more into future videos at a later time with more interesting subject matters :)
4/1/2012 11:01:14 PM
Yeah well, I never got conned into going to the movies to see these, thankfully. I meant more because I review the series too. Not the movies, the books. It's infinitely worse because it's the same crap but it's 20x longer. I don't even think I'm gonna make it to the end without going on a murderous rampage.
4/2/2012 5:03:57 AM
Heh. Good luck with that one mate, that's a length of insanity I have yet to reach. I take off my hat to you sir.
4/8/2012 2:21:34 AM
The Rifftrax guys are your friends! It's how I got through the movie.
3/14/2012 9:26:56 PM
That is actually a REALLY good point. Billy Burke did pretty much the only sympathetic, really likeable acting in the film, and Charlie was one of the few sympathetic, likeable characters. It would have been so much more emotionally gripping if it was him who was kidnapped. In fact, it coulda been pretty exciting, and now I'm wishing that it /was/ him. (But, of course, Bella had to be the only special snowflake who knew about Fork's various supernatural infestations.)
3/15/2012 6:17:11 AM
Even if it was him it would still be ridiculously stupid for Bella to go in and face of that vampire alone, when she has a whole family of vampires ready to protect her -_-And just the fact we spend at least ten minutes with the guy is reason enough he makes better kidnap subject, he is local to, the Vampire wouldn't have to go all the way to freaking Florida to fetch him. He is right there.
3/11/2012 8:53:38 PM
Oh course the Evil Overlord is evil, he has an accent. Oh yeah and good review you've improved a lot from some of your earlier stuff (no offence).
3/12/2012 7:48:26 AM
No offence taken, I am still pretty damn new at this, it's an learning curve. I'm just very grateful you would want to stick with me :)
3/12/2012 1:25:59 PM
Great, look forward to more of your reviews in the future.I feel sorry for Rob Patterson because he's gonna be the guy from Twilight forever now.
3/12/2012 2:17:49 PM
I don't... the man is stinking rich now, if he wants to do some-thing else he can. That's always the thing with big named actors and musicians complaining. "But I am type casted, I can never have any-thing interesting." Erhm erhm, either say yeas to smaller parts in smaller productions and deal with the fact you wont get as much money out of it (That is what Orlando Bloom did.) or make your own damn movie playing what-ever part you always wanted, you have the money. I can't feel sorry for any-body whom got through the needle eye and can do so much now, when I have met and seen so many talented people just struggling to get one of their visualisations come true.
3/6/2012 11:16:05 PM
maybe all sofie fans should from this day forth be known as "Wampires", lol:) what do you ya everybody?:D
3/10/2012 5:50:55 PM
cool.
3/10/2012 10:01:25 PM
im not making fun of you, i assure you, sofie, i love the way you say that :) im sorry, i didnt intend to seem mean or anything.
3/11/2012 7:41:37 AM
I said cool. I didn't say. "OH NO, people make fun of my accent, what-do-I-do!?" ... I make fun of my accent, because it's funny. If I can start a trend where every-body says "Wampire." I will be both flattered and amused. But lets face it, none of you can say "Wampire." like me.
3/3/2012 4:22:21 AM
I love the way Sofie says "The Fools!" thats soooo funny, lol:)
3/1/2012 10:20:00 PM
Sofie you are absolutely hilarious... and adorable too. :)
3/2/2012 5:48:55 AM
Aww, thank you.
2/28/2012 11:43:29 PM
I bet Sofie is secretly a timelord. Don't ask me why, I just have a feeling that I'm right, lol;)
2/29/2012 8:17:39 AM
Don't walk around spilling my secret damn you!
3/1/2012 12:47:33 AM
lol, it all makes sense! the red suitcase is in fact your tardis! lol;)
3/1/2012 7:42:19 AM
It sure is a good thing that it's much bigger on the inside. Unfortunately it's also broke, cause if it wasn't, I would be very busy crushing time and space. I always wondered, is there some-thing real about the Dracula myth.. how would it be to be a Marx Brother life performance. Am I right in my assumption Wall-E is the film the closest to depict earth genuine future. Why wont you work Tardis!? I want to have a look at these things!
2/25/2012 6:28:00 AM
if nostalgia critic was bit by a vampire, would he become the nosferatu critic?
2/25/2012 8:27:06 AM
Lol! hehe, I don't know, I must ask him some time, if he comes to Anite again this year, that certainly would be a question to ask X) Not like my last question. "How the hell do you manage to have at least two videos out a week!? that should not be possible!" "Make it your full-time job." "That's no answer mr Walker!"
2/25/2012 2:49:00 AM
A really entertaining episode. I must say I understand what you went through. I was forced to watch the first two movies. )=Neither movie was entertaining and after finding out how things turn out later in the series, I decided to stay as far away as I possibly can from the rest of the movies. Well, good luck with your next video, I´ll be looking forward to it!
2/25/2012 8:24:33 AM
Thank you. This was actually not my first time watching this damn thing, there were actually a whole bunch of girls who made me watch it in honour of the cinema release of the second movie.. which they of cause had tricked me in to see.. man was it boring. My first experience watching Twilight I didn't even really watch the movie, I was just freaking creeped out by all the girls reactions and dreaded the cinema trip we had planned the day after :/How stupid of me.. "Wanna go hang out with first cinema trip and then perhaps a tour in the city." "OKAY!" .... some-times being spontaneous isn't the best thing in the world.
2/24/2012 6:14:37 AM
maybe the next time you and mendo review a video, it could be a movie you hate but he loves, and he can present al lthe good stuff about it, and you all the bad stuff. it would be a nice mirror image of your first cross over, lol:)
2/24/2012 7:13:15 AM
Only Mendo is a much better hater than I am and I think I found away to appear positive and still be entertaining. I don't know, we'll see. Actually I an "Man in Black." is all ready plotting some-thing similar, because he really likes. "Batman Forever." and I don't actually.. I find that movie to be almost as bad as Batman and Robin. So Man in Black really badly wants to make that video.
2/24/2012 1:14:08 AM
This is the funniest video I've seen so far on the site! Well done. I kept count and first laughed out loud at 4 minutes 4 seconds. Your background in acting is very helpful, and you have the ideal eyes for rolling in exasperation. Also I can't understand why nobody's mentioned "Superedward" and "Spider-Edward" yet...:-)
2/24/2012 6:07:09 AM
Oh really? That's amazing! I'm genuinely and really happy people think this video is funny!
2/23/2012 2:10:27 AM
Sofie vs. The Evil Box Overlord would have been a far more entertaining movie than any of the the Twilight films, lol:)
2/23/2012 5:53:36 AM
And some day, that movie is going to be made, whether Christian likes it or not X)
2/22/2012 9:14:03 PM
Inspector Mustache..Huzzah! Hahahahahahahahahaha! My favorite line of your review. Still laughing.
2/23/2012 5:53:07 AM
Good, because I think I stole it from some-where.... I seriously don't remember where, and I just figure now. huh..
2/22/2012 8:48:15 AM
I wish that the movie was either more phoned in, or have characters be more creepy so that this film could have been one of the best unintentional comedies or unintentional disturbing psychological thrillers. But I guess that is what the sequel is for >:)
2/22/2012 12:17:19 PM
Far to many sequels :/Any-one wanna watch a Vlog where I and my friends get drunk before watching the last movie at the cinema premier, watch the damn thing and then talk about it?
2/22/2012 2:17:08 PM
That sounds great :D
2/22/2012 4:03:50 AM
I have been a viewer/reader of Agony Booth since 2006/2007(?) and I have never really read the comments or anything. Reading over these comments it seems like I missed out on something cool. :-/
2/22/2012 7:00:21 AM
Getting to actually talk to the authors? X) Well, as Agony Booth is only a minorly known site and the commenter's are limited, that grants us the time to talk with all of you. Which is grant. How-ever, if pulling in more contributors have the wished affect of bringing in a bigger fan-base and thus more comments, I am not sure any of us will have the time to answer to every-one. But rest assured, I for one will always read and consider every single comment, and so will most others in here.Plus, yeas! most of my commenter's er exceptionally clever and insightful people with good and funny points, it's a joy to talk to them!
2/21/2012 1:55:09 PM
I know it's been joked about before, but I'd love to see Buffy vs. Edward. She fell for two vamps, but never went all mopey, and was actually able to defend herself when put in danger. Buffy was not only better at the love-lorn-for-a-vampire genre, but she was a strong role model, too. She also not dull nor harebrained as Bella. From a storytelling perspective, I cannot fathom the appeal of the Twilight franchise. I suppose teen girls have an excuse (which doesn't extend to the housewives who should be past all that), but I feel the adults involved in the films should know better. It just seems to be a string of hollow, archetypal events strung together into something resembling a plot. There's no actual thought put into why characters do something nor is it reflected in their behaviour or the writing in general; they act just to move the story from A to B.The thing that really gets me, though, is the very concept of a sparkling vampire. I don't get that shit at all, never mind the classic vampire lore aspect. First off, what part of the plot necessitates such a silly thing? In fact, wouldn't the fear of being exposed to sunlight and that Bella would then be pining for a pile of ash add some real dramatic tension? I mean, sunlight is an ever increasing danger, as it's ever present for half a day (and that's if you don't wander around the world all the time). If humans are so vulnerable that they are at such constant risk of death, then couldn't one relish the irony that one of the few weaknesses of these super-beings is something so innocent? Stephanie Meyer could have exploited this like any halfway decent writer, but she appears to be operating at a hack level. Then there's mere idea of being even remotely terrified of something that sparkles. I bet even that deer wasn't very intimidated.By the way, I adore the way you kept saying "wampire".
2/21/2012 5:11:29 PM
Well.. I can only agree with all of that. All though, I know people whom are really into Buffy says she's a good role model and all that, yet I don't find her to be the best female ever. Again, she's kind of miss perfect, which is kind of dull. But she's one of the better female leads out there for sure, and the lore in that series far better.Personally I really like the vampires in "Being Human." where.. well, when a human character turns into a vampire, he or she will also become freaking insane! and the serie is kind of all about three monsters (A vampire, werewolf and ghost.) whom all just really badly wants to be human and life normal human life's, but really can't. Which is interesting to me, the vampires are good, all have personality, and those who wants to re-discover their humanity really have to fight for their control and often slips, like recovering alcoholics only it will never go away, and that can become freaking scary. As for "Wampire." .... that is my accent, I can't help it :/Well.. I just play it "Van Hellsing'ish." and that is cool! he will always be the ultimate vampire hunter, and I pronounce vampire like he does, hah!
2/21/2012 10:08:09 PM
I know it's been joked about before, but I'd love to see Buffy vs. Edward. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RZwM3GvaTRM
2/21/2012 1:00:31 AM
I'd love to see Count Orlock from Nosferatu run into these pansy vampires, lol.
2/21/2012 5:38:36 AM
Edward would probably faint by the mere sight of him.. "Oh god! A vampire who isn't pretty! RUN AWAY!..... AGAIN!" I would for a more modern movie just to do the classic Nosferatu/Dracula vampire instead of these pretty boys. You know, just for orders and homages sake.
2/21/2012 2:12:17 PM
Gotta love Nosferatu. He wouldn't sell today, though, because no one would understand why a blood-sucking fiend that lives in the shadows would be not-handsome.Twilight reminds me of why I love the George A. Romero movie Martin. He has the same vampiric desires, but lacks all of the allure and gloss. A film more relevant now than when it was made.
2/21/2012 5:05:22 PM
I would totally watch a new Nosferatu film! Especially if the vampire is actually ugly, and you know, is a genuine monster! Not seen that movie, perhaps I should look it up.
2/20/2012 10:56:29 PM
Sofie is a Whovian? Good for her. I knew there was a reason I liked her.
2/21/2012 5:39:52 AM
You bet I am! Doctor who is the best tely show ever! :D Only show in the freaking world where I can genuinely say. "It has alien fish vampires!" .. Alien-fish-vampires! Now that's the vampires to make a movie about B)
2/20/2012 5:22:05 PM
Oh the horror. No one understands her but everyone in the freaking world is bending over backwards to please her and keep her safe. Seriously, F Bella Swan. They should have just let the vampires eat her after the baseball game and then done something interesting.
2/20/2012 6:01:44 PM
Dude lets face it, these vampires never ever do any-thing interesting. They sat around doing absolutely nothing for centuries. And I would be proud to be called an "Anti Bella Swan!" I actually smile and laugh at life!
2/22/2012 6:09:52 PM
I disagree. Spike from Buffy was awesome. Twilight made being a Vampire all emo and crap.
2/20/2012 7:22:06 AM
I have a friend who's really into these movies and we watched part of the rifftrax of the first one together. The main thing that confuses me is that Bella is such a crab even though every single character's response on first meeting her is "Oh my gosh, you're new? Welcome to school! I just know we're going to be best friends for the rest of our lives!" and Bella just sort of silently seethes at them.I get the appeal of the rest of the fantasy, but the part where everybody in her new town is friendly and lovable but she's kind of a standoffish prick really does confuse me.
2/20/2012 7:37:36 AM
No one gets her.. no one understands her. But Edward does.And she wants to suffer in silence.It's freaking stupid, and it's the only logic I have to offer you. She just wants to suffer in silence -_-;
2/20/2012 6:54:59 AM
This is good!...but didn't we already cover this before?
2/20/2012 7:14:17 AM
Thanks.Yeah, this movie was covered in a article, how-ever, I just covered it in a video this time around.
2/20/2012 7:17:11 AM
Didn't you already ask the exact same question on the Santa With Muscles video?
2/20/2012 3:27:58 AM
Inspector Mustache!
2/20/2012 5:35:43 AM
I don't even remember what his real name is...
2/20/2012 3:02:02 PM
That would be "Charlie"...
2/20/2012 4:12:03 PM
Mendo.. you remembered that and I didn't. Be concerned for your mind all ready. You don't want to remember any details concerning Twilight!
2/20/2012 5:20:12 PM
My wife and I call him "Team Mustache Dad" because of the rifftrax. :)
2/20/2012 6:49:25 PM
Never listened to the Riff trax :/But I'm sure it's hysterical.
2/22/2012 6:11:04 PM
If you have the time I HIGHLY recommend it. They take something so insufferable as the Twilight movies and make them hysterical. If you don't have the time, check out the "best of" clips on youtube.
2/20/2012 7:44:27 PM
No worries. Longtime Boothers know exactly why I remember anything about Twilight...
2/20/2012 2:23:00 AM
"You say WAM-pire, I say VAM-pire lets call the whole thing off!!" Fun review, but id be damned if i ever watch those twilight films, the cinematography alone is enough for me to claw my eyes out. Not fair, you have a Tom Baker signed poster. Love the wacky ending, btw check out a mad cap film by Peter Bogdanovich called "Whats up Doc?" 1972 with Ryan O'Neal and Barbra Streisand, it's fun fun fun. I'd think you get a kick out of it. Laters!
2/20/2012 5:38:32 AM
They are bad all right, so don't bother. I would never ask any-one to watch those movies. If you wanted to see some-thing real cool, you should check out the back of my Tom Baker action figure, which thus far has been standing behind me for almost all of my videos.. that one is signed to. and that poster says. "To Sofie." btw, Louis Jameson (leela.) signed it to, ad she drew a little heart. "For Sofie, love Louis Jameson, little heart." :D Best autograph signing day ever! I'll keep that in mind and might just do that. Thanks :)
2/20/2012 2:15:20 AM
By the way, I love your marvelously theatrical expressions Sophie, youd have been a great actress in the Old Hollywood era :)
2/20/2012 5:35:13 AM
It's not for nothing that I have done real stage work for some time.. I like to make it all huge to make it fun.I think internet video formatting actually suits "Over-acting." quite well. Thank you :D
2/23/2012 2:11:04 AM
i just realized i misspelled your name. I'm sorry:(
2/23/2012 5:55:44 AM
Oh don't worry about that! that happens all the time! When I lived in England no one could get any of my three names right! I got freaking three names, and no! none of them, I became Sophie Lieve Petterson or Sophy Liev Penderson or what-ever. This is seriously true, no one in all of London can spell my name right apparently, even after I dropped the "Pedersen." part.
2/24/2012 1:00:57 AM
lol, thank you for being forgiving:)
2/25/2012 8:31:06 AM
Well, if it's any consolation, neither can any of you pronounce any of my names correctly, I am actually not pronounced "So-phy" but more "So-Fe-Æ." Different country, different pronounciation, and that's why I have an accent :/
2/20/2012 1:49:11 AM
I wonder which Care Bear Mendo is. Probably Cynical Bear, or something like that. Has Mendo commented since this scandal broke? lol;)
2/20/2012 3:34:15 AM
I'd imagine I'm Grumpy Bear...
2/20/2012 5:34:11 AM
..well yeah.. probably.
2/20/2012 7:43:15 AM
i was gonna suggest that, but i thought it was too on the nose, darn it! lol;)
2/20/2012 1:27:41 AM
Using the song from Brazil. I like that.
2/20/2012 5:33:24 AM
It's a sweet tune.
2/20/2012 1:19:43 AM
Who did your title card?
2/20/2012 5:33:09 AM
My personal friend Christian whom is also the guy which appeared in this video. If you ever need anything he would be happy to help.
