    Awesome song…Terrible looking show : /

    • CaptainCalvinCat

The song was lacklustre – the show was fun. At least to me. ^^

      • Alexa

Yeah if you can behind a show blatantly ripping off Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. Seriously when was Harley Quinn able to fly? Also don’t be knocking down that song, that song is awesome 🙂

        • CaptainCalvinCat

          She isn’t flying – she’s jumping.

And I can get behind the ripping off, because I didn’t watch the movie and honestly: I don’t care.

          • Alexa

Okay it was a flying jump, still looked silly…
            😛

          • CaptainCalvinCat

I disagree. Concerning the “tiger-and-dragon”-aspect of the show, which you are saying, that they are “blatantly ripping off” (and I’d like to see some prove to that thesis, thank you very much. 😉 ) … in those eastern-movies people can jump incredibly high, too. So… no – not looking silly. ^^

          • Alexa

Look I just said the fist thing that it reminded me of. And I find it looks silly because it comes out of nowhere and its just my opinion. That’s all *shrugs*

          • CaptainCalvinCat

It is okay. ^^ Sorry, this is one of my favourite shows and I can get a bit defensive about it. ^^

          • Alexa

Its cool, I’ve been there (most especially with Brave and the Bold) and I’m sure its fine, but that jump just made me go “huh?!”

          • CaptainCalvinCat

Yeah, *I* like it, however I know, that Solkir here will rip it a new one… but then, there are shows and movies out there, where I cannot comprehend why so many people like these pieces of crap. ^^

          • Alexa

Yeah for me right now its Arrow. God that show gives me a headache : P
P.S. If you like Arrow I’m sorry, it just not for me *shrugs*

          • CaptainCalvinCat

That’s okay, too. Yeah, I like Arrow but – if you don’t like it, that’s fine. At least you’re going not disecting episode per episode to point out what you think is stupid about it. ^^

For me it is “Pulp Fiction.”
I know – it is supposed to be a cult movie, but everytime I see it, I think: “And THIS is a classic? People are strange.” ^^

          • Alexa

Well its a fun and unorthodox movie, plus the acting is really good IMO. Also I have the same sentiments for Jerry McGuire. Bleh, never could get the appeal for that one…

          • CaptainCalvinCat

Yeah, but when I see it, I just hear about the watch, being in the ass of Bruce WIllis’s dad (TOO MUCH INFORMATION, thank you), I think about “Oh, I just shot (that guy) in the face” and about “quarterpounder with cheese” and shake my head.

But – like I said: it is fine, when people like it – I like other movies… Catwoman for example, X-Men Wolverine, Daredevil, Batman & Robin or “Ancient Relic” (Das Jesus-Video).

  • Necroglobule

*watches Oracle fighting (SPOILERS) Harley Quinn. Yes, Mia Sara’s supposed to be playing Harley Quinn* Bullshit, Oracle’s supposed to be paralyzed!

    • CaptainCalvinCat

She is wearing a thing, that is enabling her to walk. So – yeah, still possible. And… yeap, if you disregard the idea, that over the course of 10 or 12 years people completely forgot about Batman, the Joker, Harley Quinn and so on… once you disregard that idea – the show is not that bad.

      • Necroglobule

Possible, maybe but still totally stupid, Being a paraplegic is the entire point of Barbara Gordon being Oracle. Even more stupid if she EVER goes back to the wheelchair after that.

        • CaptainCalvinCat

In the show it is explained that it would be dangerous for her to use this thing over a longer amount of time. So, she uses the device in one episode, in which is explained how the thingamathingie works and why she cannot use it longer – and in the last episode she uses it again for a short amount of time, because she is enraged.

          so – no… not stupid.

          • Thomas Stockel

Well, yeah, it is. Muscles atrophy without use so if you are a paraplegic your leg mucles pretty much wither. Someone who gets the use of their legs back have to undergo months of therapy to be able to walk again.

And then there is the issue of martial arts and acrobatics. Skills atrophy just as well. So if a person is stuck in a wheelchair for months or years they need to hit the gym again to learn how to deliver that flying kick.

And I suppose you could use the excuse that it’s a super hero show so I should just not pay attention to things like facts, but seeing as it was a super hero show that seemed so ashamed of being a super hero show that The Huntress couldn’t even be bothered to wear a costume I’m not feeling very charitable.

          • Solkir

Trust me. That makes the most sense out of anything that happens in this show, so don’t get too hung up on it. In a few days, I’ll give you a whole host of things to complain about.

          • CaptainCalvinCat

Sorry, no matter what you bring up – I like that show. ^^
I mean: I know it has flaws, I know – like with Catwoman – it has it’s fair share of “oh, look at those idiotic men”… but… I watch it and I cannot say “This is bullshit.” Because I don’t take this show that seriously. I watch it, have a good time and that’s it.

          • Thomas Stockel

            Heh. Looking forward to it.

          • CaptainCalvinCat

This IS a superhero show. Granted: one without Huntress wearing a costume, but then – what’s Helena Waynes costume in the comics? Okay, yeah, she wears a cape (so does she in the show), she wears tight clothes – again, so does she in the show – the only thing, she does not wear is her domini-mask… And she does not need this, because apparently the people in this universe are stupid – but then, again: comic-book-show.
People don’t notice, that Clark is just Superman, wearing glasses – so: apparently comic-book-show-citizens-of-that-comic-book-town-the-show-is-taking-place-in are inherently stupid.
And yet: no one complains about that.

So – when people don’t notice, that someone, who is just wearing a pair of glasses, is the same person, that saves the city on numerous occasions, it is safe to assume that you don’t even need glasses.

    • CaptainCalvinCat

Nah – once you got the part that everybody apparently forgot about Batman – the show is pretty decent. No matter, what people say, I like it.

    • Solkir

It’s fine. I will explain it when it comes up

  • CaptainCalvinCat

Sorry, computer didn’t want to work the way I did. ^^

  • Thomas Stockel

    Looking forward to this, Solkir!
