NBC Sports Network exists, ready to satisfy nation starving for more reality TV

Not only is NBCSN a thing, the two-year-old network is already abandoning its raison d’être by adding a reality show called Mecum Dealmakers, which is not a horribly racist show about haggling over Korean prostitutes but actually about car auctions.

Kudos to Mecum, the car auction company behind the show, for getting NBCSN to disguise its glorified infomercial as reality programming.

NBCSN was formerly Versus (2006-2012) and Outdoor Life Channel (1995-2006). Nobody watched those either.

(Probably because of a lack of reality shows.)

So NBC owns Universal Sports network and can’t find sports to put on NBCSN? I turn on Universal way more often than NBCSN because Universal carries track & field, diving, and other sports. Sheesh.

  • The Velocity Channel doesn’t have enough Mecum auctions on it as is?
