Isn’t the oiliness of sunscreen important to make it less likely to wash away when you inevitably sweat? Or is this a good fit only for sunbathers?

And Green Tea/Free Radicals……*sigh*….I don’t know what the hell is up with that. It sounds like a Dr. Oz-related marketing thing/scam. Is that seriously a big deal? Not challenging, I….just don’t friggin’ know anymore. I didn’t major in “science”.

I definitely see why you’re sketpical, with all the “superfood” crap going around. Green tea is one of the only sort of natural ingredients that has any real science behind it.

Free radicals are molecules that have unpaired electrons. Because of this unpaired electron, they seek them out from other cells, causing cell damage a.k.a oxidation. It’s oxidation (or more technically oxidative stress) that so many “super foods” are fighting against. That’s why it’s so good to have ANTIoxidants. Consistent cell damage and regeneration is linked to Cancer as Cancer is cellular growth gone haywire. 🙂

Free radicals certainly exist, but a bit of green tea applied to the skin may not do much about them. Bear in mind, too, that free radicals aren’t necessarily poisonous. They are an essential part of bodily chemistry, so it’s more a matter of keeping them in check than eliminating them.

Yes, very true. The best method of using green tea is drinking it every day.
