In this episode, Mr. Mendo gets his Irish on, and joins forces with special guest the Cinema Snob to take on the sixth (yes, the sixth) film in the Leprechaun series. Warwick Davis is the Leprechaun, who returns to “tha hood” a year after rapping with Ice-T, to slowly pick off a random group of ghetto denizens (including Tangi Miller, Laz Alonso, Page Kennedy, and the inimitable Sticky Fingaz) who make the tragic mistake of stealing his pot o’ gold!

Whoa, cool! A team-up with the Snob. Awesome.

Yup, he’s actually been a fan of the site for a while now!

I remember when this came out (direct to video). One of my roommates had every leprechaun film and proceeded to throw a party and watch this film. I am now very happy that I had massive amounts of homework and had to decline.

I’m not gonna lie: I’m not a fan of Cinema Snob. Nothing against him as a person, I’ve just never liked that “screaming cuss words at movies” kind of super-hyperbolic style. It feels phony and kind of makes me wonder what you really think. It didn’t totally kill my ability to enjoy the episode or anything, just…yeah. Not a fan.

That said, I never got how the leprechaun is “evil.” It seems to me he just wants to get back what’s his.

  • This new set-up is giving me a headache… isn’t there a redirect back to the forums, or something? :-S

That said, good video, even if the Snob’s voice got on my nerves, after a while…

The Snob, unlike most other people who post “reviewer” “videos,” is actually good just like you Mike. Of course, he does have a different approach to movies; you generally review more mainstream stuff while he reviews ripoffs, shlock and porn. Good thing this review combines the two.

Don’t mock me with your framed Howard the Duck!

Also this movie is the beginning of when I began to suspect that Sticky Fingaz might not be a serious thespian, or even a Method Man.

  • Michael A. Novelli

Well, it’s been up on for a day or so, and his fans LOATHE it. On the other hand, from what I’ve heard, the gang at Channel Awesome have a real problem with their individual fans completely hating it anytime one of them does a crossover. Oh well. As long as you guys keep liking them, I’ll keep making them…

a friend had lent me a copy of this movie two years ago and wise he didn’t it was so bad it made Jason x looks like a masterpiece. good review

  • Rhotomago

If only they had kept the animation throughout the whole movie
that animated Leprekaun was frickin badass

  • Michael A. Novelli

Stay tuned for more crossovers coming up!

  • Michael A. Novelli

So, yeah, the oufit I wore at the beginning?

Some asshole called the cops on me for wearing it in public.

    A hoodie and a wig…

  • I hope the Cinema Snob can do more crossovers with the Agonybooth. As a Cinema Snob fan and an Agonybooth reader, I’m saddened to hear that Channel Awesome users hated this review 🙁

    • Michael A. Novelli

Well, it’s not all of their fans, just his…

  • Misinformed

Contrary to the Snob’s aside near the beginning, there is no connection between Robert Altman’s company Lion’s Gate Films and the one that made this movie.

With the benefit of hindsight, this one holds up a lot better than some of my other old ones!

  • Jay_Bay

Back 2 Da Hood was better….there I said it

    • Jay_Bay

yes I know this is the movie reviewed….just felt like saying it
