VIDEO: Stuff You Like vs. the Disney Princesses

In this episode of Stuff You Like, Sursum Ursa decries the marketing machine of the Evil Empire (AKA Disney), and their ongoing efforts to sell a crapload of glittery pink and purple merchandise to impressionable little girls by convincing them to want nothing more than to be princesses like Aurora and Ariel.

VIDEO: Wild Wild West (1999)

The Blockbuster Chick joins the site with a review of the 1999 dud based on the ’60s TV show, starring Will Smith and Kevin Kline as two 1860s government agents brought together by the president to foil a diabolical plot by a legless Kenneth Branagh.

VIDEO: Pink Lady's Great Motion Picture (1978) / Japanese Spider-Man (1978)

Mr. Mendo brings us twice the insanity from 1978 Japan: First up, it’s the one and only movie starring singing duo Pink Lady, where they help an alien creature escape the circus, and teleport back to the Old West. After that, it’s the Japanese Spider-Man, who gets his powers from a guy from the planet Spider, along with his very own giant robot sidekick!

VIDEO: Beauty and the Beast (1991)

It’s the first episode of Stuff You Like, where redheaded fangirl Sursum Ursa waxes enthusiastic about movies, TV shows, and anything else that comes to mind!

VIDEO: Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare (1991)

Join the Fear Fan as he takes on Freddy’s Dead: The Final Nightmare, the sixth entry in the Nightmare on Elm Street franchise. Although it’s been smooth sailing so far, with five good-to-decent entries, things are about to get much, much worse for the Fear Fan as he enters a world of terrible humor, bad acting, Roseanne and Tom Arnold cameos, cartoon sound effects, and a retcon so awful that it could disrupt the very fabric of the space time continuum!

VIDEO: Killer Klowns from Outer Space (1988)

Despite the title, this isn’t just a goofy romp with guys in clown costumes. An incredible amount of detail was put into this movie, from the amazing Klown makeup to a lot of little touches that only add to the film’s cleverness. And above all, the way they played this insane concept completely straight makes this one to watch.

VIDEO: The Golden Compass (2007)

Ryan hosts another episode of the Movie Skewer to look at The Golden Compass, based on a novel near and dear to him. New Line scrubbed away the book’s anti-Christian themes when they adapted it into a movie, along with all traces of anything dark or disturbing. Watch as Ryan examines the end result: a bland movie-by-committee where nothing is at stake.

VIDEO: Catwoman (2004)

Cecil looks at Catwoman, starring Halle Berry as a cosmetics company employee who undergoes basically the same origin as Michelle Pfeiffer in Batman Returns and becomes a superhero! Many consider this to be a strong contender for worst comic book movie ever made, but in this episode, Cecil explains why he genuinely loves Catwoman.

VIDEO: The Muppet Show: Top 10 Songs

VIDEO: The Beast of Yucca Flats (1961)

In this episode, Mr. Mendo goes to where few reviewers have gone and lived to tell about it, taking on The Beast of Yucca Flats, also known by its alternate title, Holy God, When Will It End?!? Unlike the other two films directed by Coleman Francis, this one’s got a sci-fi angle, where wrestler Tor Johnson survives an A-bomb test and becomes a mutant killer. But never fear, because it still has all the pointlessness and incompetence you’ve come to know and love from ol’ Coleman!

VIDEO: Top 10 Vampires

While you count down to 2012, join the Fear Fan as he counts down his list of the top 10 greatest vampires in movie history. With some obvious choices (Max Shreck) and some not-so-obvious choices (Pee-Wee Herman?), one thing’s for sure: none of these vampires sparkle!

VIDEO: Batman Returns (1992)

Join Mr. Mendo and special guest Sofie Liv as they take on Tim Burton’s Batman Returns! Mendo and Sofie find out!

VIDEO: Santa with Muscles (1996)

It’s an Agony Booth Christmas Special as Cecil watches Santa with Muscles, starring Hulk Hogan playing against type as a rich buffoon, who falls down a trash chute and starts believing he’s Santa Claus. He decides to help out some hapless orphans (among them, Mila Kunis) in danger of having their home demolished by evil germophobe Ed Begley, Jr. A mainstay of the IMDb’s Bottom 100 list for over a decade, is it possible Cecil enjoyed this one? Watch and find out!

VIDEO: My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic “Over a Barrel”

Ryan risks the wrath of the Bronies by taking on the show known to many as the scourge of the internet, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic! Despite being outside the target demographic (or is he?), Ryan keeps an open mind as he watches the adventures of six magical talking ponies in the land of Equestria, in one of the show’s weaker outings, “Over a Barrel”, a misguided attempt to teach kids about the horrors of Manifest Destiny—only, this trail of tears is not covered in tears, but apple pies!

VIDEO: Fear (1996)

In this episode, Cecil watches Fear, starring Reese Witherspoon as Nicole, a young girl stalked by her psycho ex-boyfriend Mark Wahlberg. Despite the pedestrian plot, the movie is wall-to-wall wackiness, thanks mostly to Wahlberg giving a hilariously over-the-top performance. Watch as Marky Mark finger-bangs Reese Witherspoon on a roller coaster! Watch as he gives himself a NICOLE 4 EVA tattoo with a ballpoint pen! And in the end, nature will take its course… so let me in the fucking house!

VIDEO: Tangled (2010)

It’s the debut of Red Suitcase Adventures, where your host Sofie Liv explores both the good and bad in popular films!
