Zoom: Academy for Superheroes (2006) (part 8 of 8)

In the gamma room, they’re still shoving cylinders into the gun, and General Lakegeneva gives his final orders. An alarm makes him look up, where he sees the gang getting into the UFO. Jack gets the hangar doors open, while inside the FB-12, Summer suddenly “understands” the alien technology and knows exactly how to work it. I see. Her powers are known by the scientific name Deus ex machinitis.

Finally, everybody except Jack is inside the UFO, leading to the obvious “What about Jack?” moment. But it turns out he’s clinging to the hull. And anyway, we already saw this thing has fricking teleportation capacities, so enough with the phony suspense already.

And so, Concussion is due in ten minutes. The ship rushes to the spot where he’s supposed to appear, doing pointless barrel rolls along the way. Jack wants to talk to Concussion alone first, and has everybody stay in the saucer while he approaches the rift by himself. Meanwhile, Summer uses her mind-powers to convince Mr. Pibb to create a “distraction”.
