Trail of the Pink Panther (1982) (part 4 of 4)

Marie goes to Dreyfus and asks him to arrest Bruno. Once again, there are absolutely no attempts at anything funny here, making it even more obvious how the whole gangster subplot is just padding. Marie accuses Dreyfus of being on Bruno’s payroll and threatens to go on TV and report this. Now comes a sign that appearing in this movie is seriously messing with Herbert Lom’s mind, because he starts winking with the wrong eye [!] before switching to the correct one.

She leaves, and Francois comes in and finds that Dreyfus (with supernatural speed, apparently) has put the blood pressure cuff back on his arm. To no one’s surprise, the cuff explodes and sends him tumbling backwards.
