Thor and the Amazon Women (1963) (part 8 of 10)
We next find the mighty Thor stealthily making his way through some caves. He comes to a gate, and on the other side sees several male slaves doing their slavework, which seems to consist mainly of banging on stones with iron mallets. Thor comes closer to the gate and finds a slave bashing something with a rock.
Thor crouches down, and the other man instantly notices his baby blues. The other guy looks up, and he totally looks like Murdock from The A-Team. “What are you doing there?” Murdock asks. “Are you mad?” Another, older guy comes along and tells Thor that if he’s found, he’ll be killed, and that he should “get back to your work, prisoner!”
Thor insists he’s not a prisoner, but that he was being pursued by the queen’s army and he hid in this grotto. Murdock just gives him a hard stare that goes on for about half an hour. Thor wants to know why there’s “no overseers”. Murdock says that they don’t need overseers, since “there’s no possibility of escape” and that they’d be dead before they ever saw daylight. The older guy adds that, “The life of a man in here is worth nothing! Much less than that of an animal!” Sounds like typical PETA propoganda to me.
