The Last Airbender (2010) (part 10 of 10)

There’s more of Ong fighting, and remember how Shyamalan imitated 300 before? Well, that was nothing compared to this, as I swear all of the camera moves here are exactly the same as that film’s notorious fast/slow motion initial battle sequence. It’s really shameless, and I’m shocked that it hasn’t been talked about more.

“I will show them that a god can bleed!”

Cut to Ong running up to the battlements, where he has more flashbacks of Gyatso giving him airbending lessons, and other flashbacks of himself running away from the Ah-vatar ceremony. What that has to do with the situation he’s currently in, or what he does next, I have no idea.

Regardless, Ong enters the Ah-vatar State and creates a giant tsunami that picks up all the Fire Nation ships. And this bit goes on. And on. And on. Boy, do I hate it when bad movies promise that they’ll end soon, and then drag things out like this.
