The Hellcats (1967) (part 2 of 6)

Redheaded Chick goes on yet another lengthy biking sequence (and, I should point out, this is all we’ve been watching since the opening credits ended three minutes ago), finally ending up at a car where Mr. Adrian is sitting in the back seat. Also in the car are two other toughs and, bizarrely, a border collie that never shows up again.

Wow, Rin Tin Tin has quite the entourage these days, doesn’t he?

We’re reminded that as much as the others may try, no one can deliver dialogue more awkwardly than Mr. Slatzer, as he completely stumbles over a line as simple as “You’re late.” Seriously, he sounds like he learned all his lines phonetically. If you’re not Bela Lugosi, I don’t recommend it.

Redheaded Chick lets Adrian know that Chapman has “got us up tight” and Adrian says, “In that case, we’ll have to loosen things up!” This quasi-nonsensical pronouncement is followed by an inexplicably huge musical sting, along with a cut to one of the thugs getting an evil smile on his face. Or maybe he just really likes that collie behind him. Speaking of which, in the next shot the dog has apparently ducked down behind the front seat, making it look like he completely disappeared between shots.
