Previously on Jane the Virgin: Jane's Crazy Cousin Catalina came into town and surprised her with an impromptu family reunion. Catalina is fun, cool, hip, and possibly evil since all long-lost relatives tend to be in telenovela land...
It's Baby Mateo's first birthday but there's too much drama in telenovela land to focus on the cute baby's day. Petra and Jane compete for the better plan to bring Derek to justice while Michael tries to put himself back on the Sin Rostro/Mutter case. Also, Rogelio's crew threatens to go on strike and ruin Jane's upcoming wedding.
Jane goes on a date with the hunky Professor Chavez, Xiomara contemplates freezing her eggs to make Rogelio happy, Michael makes one last play to catch Sin Rostro and Mutter. In telenovela land, you better use what you got if you want to gain everything. Or in Jane's case, lose something very important.
Jane needs to find a baby sitter for Baby Mateo but maybe she should find one for the other people in her life who need managing: Rogelio, who can't control his money; Petra, who has to keep hiding bodies; and Michael, who keeps digging into Sin Rostro when no one asks for that subplot.
Jane has finally decided who she wants to spend the rest of her life with and raise her baby with and yeah that's not going to last long, right?
Kidnapping rarely turns out to be as romantic as you think it will. Also, as Jane prepares for her baby's baptism, she faces a difficult decision about whether or not to enter grad school.
Season finale time! Jane goes into labor while her mom kinda sorta accidentally gets married, and the evil drug kingpin Sin Rostro finally makes herself relevant to the whole pregnancy plotline.
Can Jane’s virginity survive a night of skinny dipping with Raphael? Will Xiomara’s relationship survive kissing another man? Can Petra survive being kidnapped by the not-really-dead Roman? Answers in this week’s Jane the Virgin!
