As a cost-cutting move, the Doctor and Rose barely appear in this episode, and instead we focus on an ordinary guy who's obsessed with the Doctor, and joins a group of like-minded people trying to find him. Alas, all he finds is a grotesque comedy relief alien designed by a nine year old. But on the plus side, he ends up with a girlfriend he can take for granite.
