Starflight One (1982) (part 3 of 11)

There’s another caption stating we’re in “Santa Monica, California” (which, again, is right next to Los Angeles), and the voice of Big Brother says that six hours and thirty minutes remain until the launch of Starflight One. By the pool of a rather unimpressive hotel, we see a guy who has on khaki polyester pants and a shirt with big collars. He lights up a cigarette as he talks on the phone. We quickly learn the guy’s name is “Freddie” and he’s talking to a guy named “Bud”. But if Freddie looks familiar, it’s because he’s played by Terry Kiser, the same guy who was Bernie in the Weekend at Bernie’s movies. (And I do have to say, it’s a shame that Weekend at Bernie’s III: Rigor Mortis Sets In never quite panned out.)
