Suddenly, there’s a flash, and Apollonia’s back outside the Fake-trix. Djamilla tells her “the sine waves went crazy” and there was an “energy surge”. Then, on her Compu-Desk, the words “HERE’S LOOKING AT YOU KID” appear over and over while the computer voice calmly repeats the phrase.
Over in the eeeee-vil boardroom, Fat Chairman sees the “Here’s Looking at You” display and hears the voice too, only now the computer is doing a Bogart impression [?]. The Rich Little HX-386, ladies and gentlemen. The Chairman yells, “Invalid format override!” He changes his display back to the flight simulator and the scrolling green text. He loudly curses Fingal. Yeah! Damn you, Fingal! How dare you cover up my useless green scrolling text and make my computer do the funny voices!
“Dammit, you were supposed to be writing I WILL NOT FORGET MY HOMEWORK! Start over!”
Slavin walks into Pantsuit Central to yell at Apollonia for not controlling Fingal. She says she can monitor him, but “I can’t control his imagination! It is something else!” She laughs, and Slavin suggests assigning a different Compu-Tech to this task. But Apollonia says they can’t “interrupt the interface”. Oh, I bet she can’t. She was complaining about Fingal’s “one-handed exercise”, but tell me she doesn’t have the same thing going on for herself. Meanwhile, Djamilla is in the background, still talking into her IDE Wristband. And I would still love to know what the heck is up with that.
