Overdrawn at the Memory Bank (1983) (part 11 of 12)

Sure enough, back in the Boardroom, there’s more static and the Chairman yells, “Fingal’s accessed again!” Call me crazy, but I think this is the exact same clip they used before. Which would explain why the Chairman earlier said Fingal had accessed “again” when, really, he was accessing for the first time.

Anyway, the Chairman bloop-bloops into his armrest, and then we cut to Apollonia holding her head. Behind her, the hamster balls converge, a sound builds, and then… white screen! Interface! Apollonia cries, “I’ve got him!” Over in the boardroom, the Chairman is infuriated by this. Even though, in about ten seconds, we’ll learn that he depends on her to interface with Fingal.

So, if I do that, this movie won’t make my head explode?

Back at The Place, Fingal hears Apollonia’s voice. She wants to talk to him, but the Fat Man is soon pounding on the front door. Rick yells, “We’re closed, Fat Man!” My money! Pierre and Rick point out that the Fat Man shows up every time Apollonia makes contact. Fingal doesn’t believe Apollonia’s ratting him out, but regardless, he puts a hand to his forehead.
