Funny video. I actually think you gave the film a little more in the way of props than I would have. I’ve always felt it to be unspeakably dull, especially when matched against the amazingly stupid yet still energetic fourth entry.

I’ve got some back issues of Fangoria that cover the writing process the movie went through and if part 4 is guilty of not having enough work done on the script, part 5 may have suffered from the opposite.

Looking forward to Freddy’s Dead as well as the tenth episode.

To be honest, before creating this episode, I always put 4 and 5 on the same level. I felt that neither one was bad enough to be noteworthy, but that neither was good enough to break the mold. After dissecting them both for their respective episodes, I really have to say that part 4 is a step above this one, both in terms of effects and directorial flair. All the same, glad you’re looking forward to the next episode, because I can’t wait to share it.

Nice bit of hypocritical humor! I think I’ll add that to the TV Tropes page…

Freddy better be careful or else Jareth’s gonna kick his ass for stealing his Escher-designed set!

    • fearfanforever

Wow, that takes me back to the days of Celebrity Deathmatch.

It would have to be better than the abomination that was the short-lived reboot…

Yes, but so is simply staring at a blank screen for 90 minutes.

    Yay, a new episode!
Very entertaining, as always, and of course I really enjoyed the “touché” bit.
Keep up the good word, can’t wait for episode 10!

    • fearfanforever

Yeah, that was a pretty fun bit to write, and hopefully episode 10 will be done soon. There are some technical hurdles given that I’m doing something a bit different, but I hope it’ll be worth it.

  • Freddy plush dolls, with their own quotes !
    “Tell Freddy your secrets!”
“Who gives a Fuck what you think !
    “I’m your Boyfriend now !

greta’s death amused me for the “Bon appetit bitch !” made it worthwhile !

    • fearfanforever

      The quotes should be contextual.
Turning on the TV: “Welcome to prime time, bitch!”
Ordering a pizza: “Tell ’em Freddy sent ya’!”
Standing in line at the DMV: “Welcome to my nightmare!”
Waking up after dreaming about that nurse from Part 3: “How’s THAT for a wet dream!?!?!”

      • I see what you mean. Besides , it would be the one toy kids would share without any dispute ” YOU ‘RE ALL MY CHILDREN NOW!”
Looking forward your next reviews man! Also, I tip my hat to you & Mr Novelli for surviving the She-wolf of the SS/ 120 days of Sodom , hell I don’t even type the entire titles due to how… well these kind of movies would break me…

“Fuck you movie, fuck you right in the face!” Yup, that about sums up my disappointment in Dream Child when it was released. Like you said, it was OK, but man….what a let down after 3 and even 4.
