Never Too Young to Die (1986) (part 5 of 10)

After Ragnar’s “song” is finished, we immediately cut to the bar closing up. Lance comes out and sees Danja drive off. (So, I guess when Carruthers told her to “clock him”, that meant to go see his act and then immediately go home.) Instead of getting on his bike, Lance turns around and walks towards the back entrance of the club. When he’s out of sight, Poofy Hair Guy (I’m so glad they made a point of showing how he survived the explosion at the barn) comes along and starts fiddling with Lance’s bike.

Lance finds his way to Ragnar’s dressing room, pretending to be a big fan asking for an autograph. Ragnar sees him and says, “La Rag adores her fans. Especially such a yummy one!” Ragnar then walks behind a dressing screen to get a headshot. Once he’s out of sight, Lance pulls a piece of gum out of his mouth, and sticks it in the eye socket of a metallic horse’s head [?] hanging on the wall. Ragnar reappears with a photo, saying that now that he’s thought about it, he recognizes Lance from somewhere. Lance says they never met, but Ragnar insists. “I’d never forget those eyes,” he says. “What they do to my spine!” Gene Simmons seems to be attempting to channel Mae West here. Unfortunately, he’s not channeling Mae West in My Little Chickadee, but rather Mae West in Myra Breckinridge.
