Never Too Young to Die (1986) (part 4 of 10)

Back inside the house, Lance demands to know what’s going on. “People are trying to kill you! And me!” he says, then decides to clarify the word “kill” by adding, “Like in permanent dead, y’know?” Thanks, Lance. Danja tells him not to worry because they’re safe now. Lance wanders over into the living room and notices some pictures of his father on the mantle, and in true ex-007 style, he’s with a different woman in each picture. Lance asks Danja why she isn’t in any of the pictures. She replies that those were just Drew’s “playthings” (definitely the sort of stuff a guy wants to hear about his recently departed dad) and that Danja’s relationship with Drew was strictly “professional”. If you’re expecting this movie to provide a more concrete explanation of this relationship, I’m afraid you’ll be sorely disappointed. Lance then goes over to a bookshelf and picks up a picture of himself with his dad. I think he’s supposed to be holding back tears over this, but it comes across more like someone just pepper sprayed him. Naturally, when he puts down the picture, it’s a completely different picture from the one we just saw him holding. Nice continuity, guys. Then he notices a medal which, I’m assuming, is the Stargrove family crest, because the woman in the opening scene (the one who got The Finger from Ragnar) was wearing a similar medal as an earring. (Or, I should say, the earring and the medal are the same prop, but that’s neither here nor there.)
