Morning Sideboob: Charlie Sheen Thinks Maybe The Fourth Time’s A Charm
Charlie Sheen Proposes to Girlfriend
Charlie Sheen is at it again. The playboy may not be big on staying married, but he sure loves to get married – and he’s now going to do it for the fourth time. His marriage roster so far reads like this:
Donna Peele: 1995-1996
Denise Richards: 2002-2004
Brooke Mueller: 2008-2011
He was also engaged to actress Kelly Preston in 1990, but she called it off after Charlie may or may not have accidentally shot her. (Go figure.)
Charlie flew the lucky girl, ex-porn star Brett Rossi, to Hawaii to do the deed. She had this to say about the event:
Yes! We are engaged! He even was a gentleman and got down on one knee. I was not expecting it at all. We had a beautiful Valentine’s day and he proposed to me early this morning after we watched the sun rise. The ring is classic and beautiful, but I don’t have any photos to share just yet. This is the happiest moment of both our lives. He’s my best friend and my soulmate.
On a scale of 1 to 10 hookers in a hotel room with an 8-ball of blow, Charlie probably ranked the occasion at a 7.
Ya see, naysayers? True love is not dead.
Ellen Page Comes Out
It’s sad in this day and age that celebrities who happen to be gay are still afraid to be themselves and oftentimes live their lives in the closet. Even though many coming out disclosures are met with little surprise (Lance Bass, Ricki Martin, Ellen), it’s always still nice to see the comfort and relief that comes over an actor after he or she makes it publicly official. Ellen Page can now bring those stress-filled shoulders down a notch after revealing she is indeed a Friend of Dorothy over the weekend at the Human Rights Campaign’s inaugural Time To THRIVE conference.
Along with all the praise and support the tiny Canadian’s already receiving from the LGBT community, Hollywood has been pretty on point as well.
Chalk one up for the good guys.
Kanye West Tells Radio DJs to Shut the F Up
A lot of performers relate being on stage to being in a zone. All worries and stress float away and they are transported to another place…a happy place. But for the always irritated Kanye West, performing live seems to drum up a list of his foes and the ways they’ve wronged him. He’s known for stopping in the middle of a song to go off on a random rant, and he did it again while doing a show last week in University Park, Pennsylvania. His targets this time were radio DJs who have been dumping on his career for the past 10 years: DJs Sway and Charlamagne Tha God.
So what set him off? Well, back in November, Charlamagne Tha God had Kanye on his radio show and told the rapper, “I didn’t like the album at all. Yeezus was wack to me.” He’s also referred to him as “this new Kanye Kardashian guy.”
Kanye’s mad about everyone making fun of him. We don’t know what he’s talking about.
Jerry O’Connell Is Sorry as Well
And the Shia LaBeouf spoofing continues. This time it’s Jerry O’Connell—who set up shop right next door to Shia with his own take on regret situ, called #IAmSorryToo for Funny Or Die.
Considering that LaBeouf is facing accusations of plagiarism with his “#IAmSorry” show anyway, O’Connell’s rip-off of LaBeouf’s exhibit is is pretty much the whole point. Like LaBeouf, O’Connell’s setup involves a table of items that occasionally reference his career: where LaBeouf had nods to Transformers, Indiana Jones, and a copy of Daniel Clowes’ book, The Death-Ray, O’Connell included a DVD of Stand By Me and a toy kangaroo (2003’s Kangaroo Jack, anyone?)
All right, this is all going to end at some point, right? And everyone will go back to their regularly scheduled lives?
