Man Trouble (1992) (part 2 of 4)

Elsewhere, a woman walks into Harry’s business, and this is a very badly done shot where, due to the angle, you can barely see the name on the building. Not helping is the music laid over the scene, which really sounds more appropriate for a cheesy made-for-cable noir film.

The woman is Harry’s secretary, and while our sleazy lead posts a newspaper clipping about a series of local slayings on a bulletin board, she makes what is either a vague come-on, or just a random complaint. Turns out Harry is seeing her on the side, just in case you were thinking the main character wasn’t unlikable enough.

Harry gets a phone call from a guy about payments on his van, and then there’s some general pointlessness which only serves to let us know that Harry’s business is going down the crapper. Another guy enters, and Harry probably owes him money, because he makes a quick exit.
