KISS Meets the Phantom of the Park (1978) (part 4 of 6)

Speaking of the EV, let’s back up a bit and see how far it strays from the path of our TV version. My guess is not far enough.

Back in the scene where KISS is exiting a bumper car rink, Paul once again points out the obvious to Melissa, and says Sam is still in the park. But in this version, she goes off by herself to think, and walk. I want to make thinking and walking a point of emphasis here, because the movie certainly does. Melissa proceeds to take a step, stop, and then make an I might need to poop face, before continuing to walk again. I assume that her pre-emptive poop-face is her way of expressing deep thought.

As she’s about to leave the park, she has a revelation. She says that Sam must still be in the park. Duh, didn’t Paul just friggin’ say that?
