VIDEO: The Italian Job (2003)

We’re sorry...

This video is no longer available due to the shutdown of Blip.tv.

Sursum Ursa continues a series from long ago, The Special Relationship, where we compare British films against their U.S. remakes! In Part Four, Ursa looks at 1969’s The Italian Job with Michael Caine, Noel Coward, and Benny Hill, versus the 2003 remake, er, “homage” starring Mark Wahlberg, Charlize Theron, and Edward Norton.

Both films involve a gold heist and an extended chase with Mini Coopers, though fans of previous TSR entries might be surprised by Ursa’s final verdict. Features a special appearance by our own Liam Barrett of the Cheap-Arse Film Review!

Yeah so.. then it’s UK Sherlock against US Sherlock in a years time right?

    Kidding X)

Great job, and good way to get in on some more movies, there’s quite a lot of American re-makes of UK stuff isn’t there?
They even talked about…. sigh… making a doctor who movie compleately unrelated to the shows time-line (It didn’t even work for Peter Cushing, what makes you think it would work now?)

As always, I just enjoy your videos :D
