I Know Who Killed Me (2007) (part 3 of 8)

At the movie theater, which is a godawful monstrosity that’s lit up like a Vegas cathouse, the streets are all but deserted. Aubrey hasn’t shown up, and her friends are getting concerned. One friend decides to try her cell phone again, while the other one calls Flower Boy, since they think she’s with him. They hear a phone ring nearby. It’s Flower Boy, who also wants to know where Aubrey is.

”Ugh! Who made you the male lead?”

And then they proceed to act like complete idiots, and I’m being charitable. Let me demonstrate with a few quotes:

Flower Boy: Where’s Aubrey?
lonelygirl15: What?
Flower Boy: Okay. Where’d she park?
lonelygirl15: Ummm…
Flower Boy: Where’d she park her car? Come on, you rode with her.
lonelygirl15: Yeah, it was on that street. It’s that street. You know the one.
Flower boy: No. No, I don’t know the one. Tell me.

When the other friend finally speaks up, it becomes evident that she’s the one using the brain this week.

Jack Spencer, Jr.

Jack Spencer Jr has lived in New York State his entire life at various points along the Thruway like an incontinent who has to stop at every rest area. He spent much of his youth reading books, watching television shows and movies. After high school, he became more aware of films on the extreme ends of the cinematic bell curve, both the excellent, such as Jaws, Citizen Kane and Casablanca, and the turgid, like Plan 9 From Outer Space, Robot Monster, and Jaws: the Revenge. When not writing recaps or posting on the forums with all the je ne sais quoi of a monkey flinging chocolate-frosted marshmallows at people, he's staring at the ceiling where he's tacked up a helpful note: "Get back to WORK."
