Surviving Christmas (2004) (part 1 of 7)
Dec 20, 2010
Johnny drives up to his place, and there’s a disaster team on site, picking through the after effects of his demonic ride through town.
That’s right, Johnny. All by yourself you did more damage than all G-20 protestors in a week combined.
Picking through his own rubble, he encounters Roxanne, and they have a testy conversation before she drives off. Meanwhile, one investigator finds the Rider’s burnt license plate. Intrigue abounds! Or not, because all that leads to is a shot of the setting sun, and then comes an odd sequence. Just out of the shower, Johnny halts by a mirror and starts checking himself out, looking for signs of his Ghost Rider phase. Then he tries to scare himself, I think.
Acting, ladies and gentleman. Acting!
As Johnny begins poring over more of his books, allowing more things to get into his brain, Roxanne enters from his unlocked lift. She wants to apologize for what she said, then after looking his place over and seeing how he lives like an on-duty grease monkey with a dark afterlife fixation, she begins kissing him. He rebuffs her advances, and she asks what’s going on with him. Then we get the tender scene where he explains very calmly to Roxanne that he now works for the Devil. Understandably, she decides he’s a person in need of counseling, as well as massive doses of medication.
