Die Another Day (2002) (part 7 of 7)

In North Korea, Bond and Jinx stake out an airfield behind a chain link fence, until Jinx spots Graves. Bond gets a sniper rifle ready. Of course, it wouldn’t be much of an ending if Bond just shot Graves now, so a truck blocks his view right when he’s about to fire. By the time it passes, Graves is already on the plane, so Bond and Jinx have to get on it too. They snip the fence to make an opening big enough to get through, and it’s just as exciting as it sounds. Ultimately, they get on the plane Defiant Ones-style through the wheel well.

“Oh no! The Bond gravy train is leaving us behind!”

On the plane, Graves has his father brought onto the observation deck. Meanwhile, Bond and Jinx emerge into the cargo area, where all the cars that didn’t get destroyed in the opening teaser are being carried. Three guesses if they escape that fate again.

As General Moon enters the observation deck, Graves is now wearing a really weird rubber suit that includes the shocking gloves. They really couldn’t be serious about this, could they? Graves reveals to General Moon that he’s his son by quoting a passage from The Art of War, then points to the suit as a guarantee of victory. Okay, moving on.
