The least anticipated movies of 2018
Dec 14, 2017
After a brief scene on the chopper, where we see Bond planting explosives in the suitcase which contains a bunch of diamonds, we’re introduced to the villainous Colonel Moon (Will Yun Lee), and what better way to show the guy is evil than having him beat the shit out of a punching bag… with a live person inside it! You know, as dumb as this movie can be at times, I have to say that was pretty damn hilarious. It’s like something you would have found in a Cannon film circa 1986. The bit where he reveals this guy was his anger management therapist was probably not needed, though. Funny, though. Still funny.
Bond, posing as van Bierk, meets with Moon under the watchful eye of Zao (Rick Yune), who surreptitiously takes a photo of Bond he sends to an unknown party. The meeting turns out to be a diamonds for weapons exchange, as Moon is hiding several heavily armed hovercrafts in the DMZ.
Bond hands over the diamonds, throwing in, “Don’t blow it all at once,” as a man looks them over. During this, Zao gets a message identifying Bond. He quietly informs Moon, and things go downhill quickly as Moon blows up Bond’s helicopter and has his men grab our hero.
