This week, I had the pleasure of chatting once again with actress/writer/director/editor Deborah Voorhees (read our previous interview here). Her latest upcoming work, entitled 13 Fanboy, centers on a deranged Friday the 13th fan who targets actresses who have…

I recently had the pleasure of chatting with actress Melanie Kinnaman. She’s probably best-known as the “final girl” in Friday the 13th Part V: A New Beginning, but here she also discusses her other roles and interests.
Melanie, what …

Benita Ha is a Canadian actress who's appeared in numerous movies and television shows, including X-Men: The Last Stand. She's also lent her voice to a number of video games, and is also a nurse! I recently had the pleasure of interviewing this talented lady.
“You may or may not be aware of this, but I’ve talked a lot of shit about Pink Lady ...and Jeff. So much so, that one of the writers felt the need to set the record straight. So I now get the chance to pick the mind of someone who was a writer for Laugh-In, directed a movie starring a current U.S. Senator, wrote alongside Sid Caesar, and won an Emmy for writing jokes on Hollywood Squares.”
“Earlier this year, I spoke to Dan Woods, Mr. Raditch himself, and through that connection I got the opportunity to interview the other much-beloved teacher from the series. I’m talking of course about Michelle Goodeve, who played Ms. Karen Avery for four seasons on Degrassi Junior High and Degrassi High. What you may not know is that Michelle’s been busy ever since as a producer, screenwriter, and story editor, writing episodes of several Canadian TV shows. But if that’s not enough to pique your interest, Michelle is also a licensed pilot, with a special passion for flying antique airplanes. Yes, in real life, Ms. Avery flies airplanes. Seriously!”
“It’s not easy to make your way in a strange country, but to make your way and end up a Knight of the Order of St. John? Not such an easy thing to do. Throw in some documentary work, motorcycle stunts, and being James Bond’s costar not once, but twice, and that sounds like a sweet deal to me. The only man I know of who did all this is Albert Moses, so join me as we discuss crass comedy, Dinka documentaries, manic Maharajahs, and much, much more!”
“Fantastic actress, and star of some of my favorite movies, including Bikini a-Go-Go (now called Curse of the Erotic Tiki), Miss Lynne has more to offer the world than a willingness to star in nudity-oriented film spoofs, though those are worth checking out. She’s also a good cook, and advocates good hygiene!”

“Dan Woods played teacher (and later, principal) Dan Raditch on all five seasons of Degrassi Junior High and Degrassi High, and then returned to play Raditch again on Degrassi: The Next Generation for four more seasons. Despite being one of the ‘adults’, to me Mr. Raditch has always been a key ingredient in the Degrassi formula, and the show just hasn’t been the same without him.”
“Yes sir, Lloyd’s come a long way from his days as a location executive, to the head of the longest running independent movie company in America. Troma’s movies cover almost every subject matter, with lots of sex and violence thrown in, all for budgets that wouldn’t buy lunch in most studios.”

"Of course, anyone who’s seen Hobgoblins will be excited to know that Hobgoblins 2 is coming out later this month! Sure, a twenty year gap between films didn’t help Blues Brothers any, but this is Hobgoblins we’re talking about."

"Are magic and firearms really mutually exclusive? Not according to Galina Krasskova, Heathen Priestess and author of some of the most respected books on Woden and Norse traditions."
"I found him to be a pretty cool guy. A very busy guy, but he was more than willing to go along with my inane questions when he had the time. So without further ado, join us for some light conversation about horror movies, jerks with movie cameras, and why that little star-watch section in People you like so much is bad juujuu all around!"
"But for the most part, he's gotten a bad rap. Sure, his books are pervy to the extreme (not that I'm complaining), but his characters are remarkably easy to spend time with, so if you can keep your sensibilities from being offended too much in the first few chapters of any given Xanth story, it's worth it in the end."
