Born To Just Sit There Idling: Jimmy Fallon & Bruce Springsteen Team Up For Awesome Bridgeghazi Parody

Chris Christie has lost the Boss, not that he ever really had him. Here for your morning clipbait are Jimmy Fallon and Bruce Springsteen, two broken heroes on a last chance power drive…but mostly just stuck in traffic on the George Washington Bridge. With the lanes out of Fort Lee closed, Wendy had better just not get her hopes up, is what they’re saying:

Sure, maybe it loses a little something from the two having to slow down and enunciate the lyrics for the parody version, but that’s a small price to pay for a pretty definite reply to Christie’s unrequited fan-love for Springsteen. We’re just waiting to see if Springsteen is going to start adding “I gotta take a leak!” when he performs “Born To Run” at live shows.

It’s not their first team-up, and admittedly, it’s not quite as epic as their previous duet on Willow Smith’s “Whip My Hair,” partly because there’s probably no way to replicate the sheer WTF factor of Fallon as Neil Young and Springsteen as Young Springsteen, but it’s still pretty damn good. What, you’d like to see that other one as well? Sure!

Tons of awesome. Also, I haven’t really heard the “sticking it to the working man” angle, other than the guy who was late for his first day of work. Good stuff.

It’s not enough that the sad, fat, Pinnochio is down but his idol has to kick him with ridicule on national tv, I bet he dove into a gallon of HagenDaas as soon as he saw it.
