Yes, pigs do fly, and so does Sofie... While watching this, movie that is.
Sofie's Miyazaki March continues with Kiki's Delivery Service, which features cats, which makes Sofie happy.
Sofie's Miyazaki March continues with the most insanely cute, innocent movie ever. Also, the Film Renegado is in this video!
“In Pinkie Pie’s world, you can never have too much of anything!”
“Oh sweet, sweet freedom of being home alone! Now she can walk around naked just as much as she wants! But then again, Apple Bloom is already naked all the time. Huh. Well, I’m all out of good things to say about being home alone now.”
Sofie's Miyazaki March continues with the first Miyazaki movie in the Studio Ghibli era. And yes, before you say it, she knows what "Laputa" means in Spanish.
“So really, Fluttershy could have potentially committed genocide on all of these small things with her kindness. Isn’t there a Doctor Who episode with that theme?”
“The last time we had a Cutie Mark Crusaders episode, we got a long wished for and well-handled character exploration. This time... we have children going nuts. Joy.”
Sofie's Miyazaki March continues in this second installment of the month.
Sofie has decided to make March 2014 into Miyazaki March, where she reviews the films of acclaimed Japanese director Hayao Miyazaki, starting with his very first feature Lupin the III: The Castle of Cagliostro.
“What Fluttershy has isn’t ordinary stage fright, or performance anxiety. It’s performance paranoia!”
“To this show’s credit, it handles the love triangle plot way better in a twenty-minute episode than a certain billion-dollar Hollywood franchise did in five movies.”
Sofie reviews the original cult classic RoboCop from 1987!
“‘Weird Al’ Yankovic is pretty much playing a combination of himself and a male version of Pinkie Pie called ‘Cheese Sandwich’. Sounds like a killer combination to me, if for nothing else than just how random it is.”
Yes, the one time Sofie goes to the theaters expecting to see a terrible remake, and it turns out to be bloody competent! The RoboCop remake is a decent flick. It has some flaws to be sure, but it's a fun watch with some genuinely clever moments and decent action.
“I’m not entirely sure what this episode has to say other than, ‘Hey, look at Discord! Discord is here!’ Which, I’ll admit, is not the worst episode idea I’ve ever heard.”
“Well, people, you knew it had to happen. The thing about any long-running series is that no matter how good it is, there will always be a few duds in between all the great stuff.”
“I will admit, though, that if you’re going to take a selfie, plunging over a waterfall is really the only way to do it. ”
In Sofie's first game review, she reviews the puzzle game adventures series Professor Layton, created for the Nintendo DS and 3DS, about a professor and his apprentice who go on adventures and solve puzzles as well as mysteries.
“‘Rarity Takes Manehattan’ looks to be another fan favorite, and possibly the best Rarity episode the show has produced so far.”
