In this episode, we take a look at the classic ’80s horror/comedy An American Werewolf in London, directed by John Landis. We’ll look at the Landis’s inspirations and what effect the film had on his future directing career, including Michael Jackson’s “Thriller”. We’ll also look at the Oscar-winning makeup effects by Rick Baker, and why they make the film so unforgettable.     I love this movie. I remember seeing it back in the day on cable and having the shit thoroughly scared out of me. And you know, I find the comedy feels natural. Funny stuff happens even in horrific circumstances and I think Landis struck a good balance.
