Amazon’s Newest Sitcom Hits Facebook for Free Tonight
Like raunchy, dark humor? Starting tonight at 7:00 p.m. Eastern, you can check out the full pilot episode of the upcoming Amazon Prime sitcom Catastrophe on Facebook, of all places.
The premiere episode will be free on Facebook for 48 hours, and then the entire six-episode first season goes live for real on Amazon Prime this Friday, June 19. (Or, if you’re in Britain, you may already have seen the whole thing since it’s really a Channel 4 show that Amazon Prime is importing.)
On the show, an American guy accidentally knocks up (in the American sense of the phrase) a British woman during a work trip to London, then moves across the pond to make a go of it. You’ve never heard of the stars so don’t pretend, but Carrie Fisher guest stars as the American guy’s mom.
The show’s been a hit in Britain, and it’s already been renewed for a second season.
