Welcome to the first episode of a brand new series here at the Agony Booth, Terror Obscura, where your host Fear Fan explores the best and worst horror films ever made! While some shows are content to just mock bad films, this one isn’t afraid to take even the most sacred of cows to the slaughterhouse.

In this episode, the Fear Fan takes a trip into the demented mind of Wes Craven and watches his greatest creation: 1984’s A Nightmare on Elm Street, starring Heather Langenkamp, Johnny Depp, John Saxon, and Robert Englund as the original Freddy Krueger!

Actually, Part 2 was, if anything, a greater financial success than the first and allowed the third to be made.

You mentioned you have very specific fears. One of them seems to be homophobia since you puke in your mouth at the sight of dancing men.

    • fearfanforever

If I was homophobic, I’d be one of the people who hates the movie rather than one of its relatively few champions. Also, you’ve managed to comment on the wrong video.

Finding that scene barf-worthy is very little to do with homophobia, trust me.

    • It does seem kind of intolerant of him.
Personally, i puke a little in my mouth every time someone tries to dictate to others what they should or should not like when they don’t follow the P.C. commissar’s dictates.
But that’s because i really like diversity and can’t stand anyone who judges those who think differently than they do.
Let me drop the code: You like to see two men dancing; he doesn’t. DEAL WITH IT!!! THAT is called diversity.

  • This is a great new feature on the A.B. Congratulations.

fearfanforever, i never had a change to say this when i post my comment on you site so am saying it now you do a good job in your review. granted i do not agreed that nightmare 2 was a good movie but at less i can say was Freddy’s dead was fare and away more worst than all of them combine. but still i love for view on the frist three movie’s you had done and is really looking forward to more in the nixe few week or when ever you get around it. thank again and keep up the good work

    • fearfanforever

Well, I’m really glad that you enjoy my work, and don’t worry, Freddy’s Dead is definitely getting a bad review!

  • hey , which movie you got the scene after rod runs away? ( the one with some knight)

    • fearfanforever

That’s Monty Python’s Holy Grail. If you haven’t seen it yet, I strongly suggest it.

Awesome review man ! Speaking of Sabretooth, when well written, he always reminds me of a mix between Freddy & Hannibal Lecter ( maybe the claws & talent to push people buttons , as well as the ferocity!)

  • MalteseLizzieMcGee

Ah, a Monty Python reference! (but not the one I expected: I expected a ‘Find the Fish’ reference at Freddy’s long arms), Great review :)

Thanks! Hope you enjoy the rest of my reviews too!
