And now come the credits, which are set to split-screen home movies of Tom and Summer as kids. I gotta ask, how old are they supposed to be, exactly? Because all of their home movies are on Super 8 film. And I’m pretty confident they both grew up in the age of camcorders.

The credits are set to the song “Us” by Regina Spektor. This is the first time I’ve heard anything by Regina Spektor, and I have to say, I do not enjoy this woman’s voice at all. It’s just weird, and overly affected. It sounds like she’s doing a very bad Björk impression.

And now, the home movies move forward in time to when Tom and Summer are both teenagers, and yet, they’re both still on Super 8. I’m really quite sure neither one of them was a teenager in 1966.
