3000 Miles to Graceland (2001) (part 8 of 8)

The end result is that Michael smartly tells Schizo-Girl to take her kleptomaniac son and get the hell out of his life. Meanwhile, Murphy drives the Wombat Van until he just happens to pass Cybil and Jesse [!!] in their car. This moment is so blatantly stupid and impossible, it even makes Murphy incredulous.

A spectacularly dull chase ensues, with Murphy finally smashing their car into undrivability in an amusement park. Wow, how ironic, since the only thing “amusing” about this movie is that I haven’t had a fatal seizure from the editing.

Murphy hops out and jauntily remarks, “It works out better sometimes when I don’t kill people.” Well, nice to see a bad guy with a sense of self-control. It doesn’t keep Costner from hamming it up like Vincent Price on uppers, but what the hell.
