Due respect *bow*.I didn't think of it at the time, mostly because I haven't though about Antitrust for years, but this plot is like the beginning of Tron: Legacy. "Sell software? Naw! Just pass it around on the Internet for free."I was surprised you didn't comment further about Rachel Leigh Cook's character. Isn't she a glasses-wearing nerdy type?...er, oops. Wrong film.

Well, we partitioned our Mac so we can run Windows XP and play PC games on it. Seemed logical that you could do the same with Linux software. Never seen Tron: Legacy, is it any good?

Tron: Legacy is worth seeing once, in my opinion. It has some good ingredients, but those ingredients don't combine into a great movie. I liked the soundtrack, the visual design, and the over-the-top performance of Jeff Bridges. However, the plot doesn't make much sense and the characters are more quirky than sympathetic. It's one of the many movies that feels like a missed opportunity.Yep, although I boot Linux ("openSUSE") most of the time, my disk has partitions so I can also run the pre-loaded Windows install that it came with. At the time of this movie, Linux was harder to handle and learn. It's more friendly and less elitist now.

I used Ubuntu on a PC (no Windows on there at all) and it was easy as pie. But that was in 2009. I imagine it was a little different back when they made Antitrust.

Yea, you mentioned Honor Harrington, one of my favorite literary heroes! If anyone out there is looking for a good sci-fi adventure book read the first of the series, On Basilisk Station. There are something like fourteen to sixteen books in the series, both in the straight-along story as well as short story collections and books focusing on supporting characters like Shadow of Saganami and Crown of Stars. But unlike some series, like the Dresdenverse, I think every single Honor Harrington novel is good to great.Oh, um, and good review, Ursa. Sorry, let my utter Harrington fan-boyishness get out of hand there.

I love Honor. I don't like the later books so much because they feature less of her. Particularly the most recent one, which I spent whining, 'Where's HONOR? Or Scotty or Harkness or Benjamin or maybe Abigail, but mostly HONOR, WHERE IS SHE?'I've read the first two Harry Dresden books. They're OK, but Harry himself strikes me as a bit of a prat. I prefer Toby Daye, who is altogether more awesome, though she's just as messed up.

Ditto. Weird to think I was in my next to last year of college when this came out. And amazingly enough, not in a way that makes me feel hideously old.
