Has anyone read Children of the Corn? Is it any good?
2/20/2013 1:16:10 PM
It's good but it has a completely different ending. It's a short story in his compilation book Night Shift. Honestly, I wouldn't mind if they did another adaptation but followed the story closer. I would be much creepier than the 1983 movie. Doubtful though, they would probably just have lots of 3D CGI corn.

Is this movie better or creepier than "At Play in the Fields of the Lord"? Cause this looks pretty depressing but better than Village of the Damned (the remake).
2/19/2013 1:15:30 PM
Well, it's definitely shorter. It is much better than the Village of the damned remake, that movie did nothing for me.

It's definitely better than the first, though that's not exactly a Mount Everest style mountain to climb.

It's one of those rare cases where even though the original is more well known, the sequel is better.

is it ironic that Part 2 is labelled with "final" and yet they made like 5 or 6 more movies after? P
2/18/2013 9:01:33 PM
Believe it or not, 7 more.
2/19/2013 2:03:35 PM
7?! How did they ever find material to make 7 more of these?Good stuff, by the way. I am especially digging the extra effort you are putting into the opening credits. It's a nice touch.
2/20/2013 12:40:48 AM
You really think they cared about having a plot to make these movies?
2/20/2013 1:11:41 PM
After the third one I think the plot wasn't high on the priority list.
2/20/2013 1:10:57 PM
While the first few attempted to be at least a little different, the later ones all pretty much felt the same. They were made on the cheap and even though it was way down the road from the original, they still had name recognition, which helped sell them on DVD and cable. Thanks! I'm trying to jazz it up a bit.

Outlandler!Sorry, flashback from the first CotC.
2/18/2013 6:53:24 PM
Outlander, not outlandler :)

lol

Boo on this movie for the misleading title. If you're going to put The Final Sacrifice in your movie title, you better deliver Rowsdower. (Seriously how much more awesome would that have made this film?)
2/18/2013 9:02:38 PM
Zap Rowsdower, one of the greatest names in the history of the world.

On a more critical note, your jokes are improving.
