Kick-Ass 2 (2013)
“The bad news is Kick-Ass 2 isn’t as good as Kick-Ass. There are certain key elements of awesome from the first movie that are absent this time around, and without them there’s just no way to completely recapture the magic. The good news is that those voids have been filled by not-quite-as-awesome-but-still-pretty-awesome new stuff.”Kick-Ass (2010)
“Most action films are ludicrous to a degree, but this one is almost a cartoon. I felt about as much suspense over Hit-Girl’s fate as I feel concern for Wile E. Coyote’s health after a boulder falls on him.”Thor (2011)
“If Shakespeare had had the wherewithal to include giant robots and inter-dimensional portals and storm-generating mystical hammers in his plays, it just might have looked something like this movie.”Red (2010)
“Well, it at least looks like everyone involved had a lot of fun making this movie.”300: Rise of an Empire (2014)
“So noticing that its successor 300: Rise of an Empire has actually attempted to be a story about something deeper, with multiple layers, symbolism, and themes, I’m at a loss to decide whether or not that’s actually a good thing.”10 characters who should show up on CW’s The Flash
“Unlike Arrow, The Flash actually includes a lot of characters from the comics, instead of just a bunch of random bad guys who happen to have the civilian name of some obscure supervillain.”
