Sorry for the interruption, but we'd really appreciate it if you watched some of our videos!
All videos are written, performed, and edited by the Agony Booth staff, so they're just like the recaps you know and love, only without all that annoying reading!

Okay, I'll admit, atyour line about it being your opinion and not caring what others thought...yeah, I had to stopthe review for a few minutes to stop laughing. Fantastic way to begin. ^_^Thank you so much for this review! It reminded me of some movies I need to see still (Rise of the Guardians, Brave, Epic--added to my list of things to see in the future--Hotel Transylvania, Wreck-it Ralph, and, of course, Paranorman), and, uh...confirmed my decision to avoid all three of the ones on your worst list. *cough*Thanks again! Love the mug, btw.

Aren't you overlooking LIFE OF PI?

Wow, nothing made with a pencil! Isn't that sad?

It is, although that seems to be the case most of the time nowadays. At least there wee three stop motion films this year so it wasn't all just CG. Dreamworks is talking about making a movie that's a mix of CG and hand drawn animation, but I have no idea how far along it is or even if it will get released.

I actually think it looks pretty good. Dreamworks have proved that they can make excellent movies (How to Train Your Dragon), and the premise of this film sounds somewhat original. I really like the idea of the normal world being in CG and the shadow world traditionally animated. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Me_and_My_Shadow_(film)

The order of the list was a bit confusing, but, still, agree with most choices...except Brave...and Paranorman, which I'm yet to see :]
2/1/2013 8:36:23 AM
The fact that I haven't seen a single animated move in 2012...means I need to get out more doesn't it?
2/1/2013 9:52:54 AM
yes, out more to the cinema! Oh absolutely, loved Paranorman, absolutely among one of my favourite movies of the year period.

How weird that in 2011 I won a gift certificate at work for the cinema (This was in Christmas) for C$25 and saw one movie (Avengers, and purchased it on DVD) and still have money on the card to watch more. Being a hermit means it's a real chore to go to the cinema, and the movie has to be really good (I hate crappy cam shots of movies so I usually ignore movies unless I want to buy the DVD). If the movie is for free on YT then I'll watch it, but otherwise I'll pass it by. 2013 has some good movies though so I'll probably watch Cap 2, Thor 2 and might even see if re-edits and extra work will make GI Joe 2 worth the wait.

I think I lost count of how many times I went to the movies this year. It helps that there were so many good animated and live action releases.
2/1/2013 3:21:03 PM
Me too. It was a pleasant surprise. I wasn't expecting it to be bad or anything, but I wasn't expecting it to be as good as it turned out to be either.
2/2/2013 1:11:03 AM
Well there's the problem of not having money for the movies all the time...or the fact that the only cinema in my town suuuuuuuucks. Most of the time I end up watching new releases somewhere else other than where I live.
2/1/2013 11:29:02 AM
How can you disagree with her choice of Paranorman, if you haven't even seen it?
2/2/2013 1:10:06 AM
I probably worded that wrong, I have no opinion on Paranorman, simple as that.
2/1/2013 4:10:43 PM
Seriously... I don't usually force movies or shows on people, but knowing that Stopmotion doesn't do well at the box office; I just want more people to see Paranorman so that more movies like this exist!
2/2/2013 2:02:59 AM
I agree. I want more. I hope they keep making movies like this. Even if it's only every 3 years. I'll gladly wait.
2/1/2013 6:59:21 AM
"So if you don't agree...I don't care" XD
2/1/2013 6:40:27 AM
Wait......Ice Age is up to 4 now? Ice Age.....4? What in the name of Sheeba is wrong with people?
2/1/2013 3:18:03 PM
Yeah, it's pretty depressing. They've already talked about making a fifth one too. They'll probably keep making them if people keep going to see them.
2/1/2013 1:59:19 AM
You made that Sherman and Mr. Peabody image yourself, right? Right?!
2/1/2013 4:09:55 AM
I'm afraid not. *shakes head sadly*
2/1/2013 12:49:50 AM
That bad-ass chair, a cup of....something I'm presuming is hot. You're just chillin' like a boss aintcha? :)As for the Lorax, to its credit it did bring us the most hilariously ironic commercial ever.
2/1/2013 4:11:34 AM
Lol, oh that commercial. I don;t know what they were thinking, I really don't.
2/1/2013 4:14:47 AM
I bet they weren't thinking MOICHENDISING, MOICHENDISING where the REAL money from the movie is made! The Lorax: The Coloring Book, The Lorax: The Bedsheet! The Lorax: The Chainsaw! (the kids love this)

Joey Tedesco, you're look different! Did you get a haircut?
