It's Film Renegado's second anniversary! And what better way to celebrate than with more Danny Trejo? This is... Machete!
Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015)
“‘More of the same’, though I’d still say it was better overall than the previous Avengers movie and trumps it on most levels.”Delta Farce (2007)
Renegado gets angry at Delta Farce, the disastrously unfunny comedy starring Larry the Cable Guy, Bill Engvall, and DJ Qualls as a group of National Guardsmen who crash land in Mexico and for some reason think they're in Iraq. The movie scores some points for casting Danny Trejo as the bad guy, and the exquisite Marisol Nichols as his woman, but immediately forfeits those points by including Jeff Dunham and his talking jalapeño puppet.Sin City’s biggest sin: Making violence boring
“By the time we get to Elijah Wood with all his limbs chopped off being eaten alive by a wolf, it’s just tiresome.”Predators (2010)
“The hunted are mostly one-dimensional, but the hunters are shown in all their glory and look fearsome as they track their prey.”Steven Seagal's Lightning Bolt
“Steven Seagal, former bodyguard turned actor, who once claimed to have worked for the CIA, and who now claims to be a reincarnated Tibetan lama (though not a reincarnated llama, which is probably closer to the truth), has taken time out from his busy direct-to-video acting career and burgeoning singing career [!] to develop a brand new kind of energy drink. I know this much is true, because I've purchased and consumed exactly two (2) cans of Steven Seagal's Lightning Bolt in both of its powerful flavors: ‘Asian Experience’ and ‘Cherry Charge’.”Spy Kids 4-D: All the Time in the World (2011)
The cast has completely changed since the previous movies, with Jessica Alba as the spy kids' mother, Community's Joel Mchale as a spy hunter, and the voice of Ricky Gervais giving a terrible performance as a robot dog. This movie stinks in every possible sense of the word.
