Mr. Mendo reviews Skyfall, the latest film in the James Bond franchise, starring Daniel Craig and Javier Bardem.
American Sniper is not the real Chris Kyle, and that’s okay
“I kind of hate that people are assuming that the film is trying to sanctify Chris Kyle by portraying him not as he was, but as, well, Bradley Cooper trying to finally win an Oscar. ”Quantum of Solace (2008)
Daniel Craig and the Bond filmmakers silenced the critics with Casino Royale, then got them all shooting off their mouths again with this entry, thanks to an unfinished screenplay, a boring villain, and some of the most confusing editing ever seen in the franchise. “In this installment of Mr. Mendo Pisses Off the Entire Internet, Mendo takes on Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, the much-beloved mind-trippy tale of boy meets girl, boy loses girl, boy pays to have girl erased from his memories, boy meets girl again due to some combination of magic, sorcery, and telepathy.”Spectre (2015): a spoiler-filled review
“This sums up the fundamental problem with this film rather nicely. It looks like it’s doing something clever and edgy, but in reality, what it’s saying and doing is rather lame and tame.”The Dark Knight (2008)
It's certainly not a bad movie, but the filmmakers way overcomplicated things, adding pointless political commentary and contrived twists, creating tons of plot holes to annoy Mr. Mendo. Here are his biggest nitpicks!Kill James Bond
“Daniel Craig’s Bond carries a considerably larger burden of expectations than his predecessors ever did. To that problem, I submit the following solution: Kill James Bond.”
