The Specialist (1994)
“For some reason, this film was marketed as a more ‘serious’ movie, even though I’m pretty certain anybody who’s a fan of either Sylvester Stallone or Sharon Stone doesn’t go to the movies for serious dramatics. “Maybe I hadn’t given Singer enough credit before, and X2 would be a lot better than I remember it being. It wasn’t. It was worse. Way worse.”Recap Supplement: Batman & Robin (1997)
“Joel refers to Poison Ivy as a ‘beautiful, sexy’ version of the Unabomber. Never really thought of it that way, to be honest. Never gotten that drunk or stoned.”Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014)
“It’s funny that in a world inhabited by iron-clad, god-like, and star-spangled superheroes, we end up with such bland and boring villains.
”Howard the Duck (1986)
“I generally don’t bitch about a film using live, on-the-set special effects, but when the ‘supposed to be likable’ lead character has the eyes of a killer, I balk.”Batman & Robin (1997)
