X-Men 2 is not as good as you remember
“Maybe I hadn’t given Singer enough credit before, and X2 would be a lot better than I remember it being. It wasn’t. It was worse. Way worse.”Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015)
“‘More of the same’, though I’d still say it was better overall than the previous Avengers movie and trumps it on most levels.”Birds of Prey “Prey for the Hunter”
In New Gotham, metahumans are being killed by their own powers, and it turns out to be the work of a self-hating metahuman serial killer. This is the point where it all goes wrong, and we start to see Birds of Prey for what it really is: the worst. The Specialist (1994)
“For some reason, this film was marketed as a more ‘serious’ movie, even though I’m pretty certain anybody who’s a fan of either Sylvester Stallone or Sharon Stone doesn’t go to the movies for serious dramatics. Stallone’s fans go to see him kill a lot of things and be macho, and Stone’s fans go in the vain hope she’ll do another leg spreading scene like in Basic Instinct. To be fair, she does get naked in this film. On the downside, so does Sly.”Howard the Duck (1986)
“I generally don’t bitch about a film using live, on-the-set special effects, but when the ‘supposed to be likable’ lead character has the eyes of a killer, I balk.”R.I.P.D. (2013)
“I’m guessing concession sales suffered a bit during the theatrical run of this movie.”
