Watch as the Fear Fan takes on 1985’s A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy’s Revenge! Some people say it’s the worst entry in the series, others say it’s the gayest entry in any horror series. But no matter how you slice it, this movie has one hell of a reputation. Can the Fear Fan find any redeeming qualities among a sea of naked man ass, killer parakeets, and dance moves bad enough to peel paint? Watch and find out!

The most disturbing thing about this movie is that I missed ALL the subtext when I first watched this, and only caught on because of this review. Bar scene? Never caught it. Dancing scene? I did it all the time, sans funky glasses. Balls to the face? Well, I was never good at sports anyway ... *Sigh*

Props to the Fear Fan for keeping the mood light during the vast majority of the review.

Yeah, I think the reason a lot of reviewers won't touch this one is because they're worried about looking homophobic. What I tried to do was make fun of the movie not because it had a LGBT theme, but rather to make fun of how impossibly gay they made it. So far, nobody's showed up with torches and pitchforks outside my house, so I guess I managed to avoid looking like an asshole.

Well Freddy in this movie did have some of his best showings, but I think Jesse has been the victim in the entire movie. He's been the vehicle for Krueger's soul as well as his instrument & he couldn't do a damn thing about it.
So yeah , Like this movie as well as the 1st,3rd,F v J,New & Remake (not bad actually, it does its job pretty well !)

That's sort of weird...
I'd never really watched Mythbusters, and so had no idea who you were talking about, but once I read your quote I went out and watched some interviews and stuff with him, and I can definitely see the resemblance.
It's like he's me in another 20 years or something...

You should have mentioned the "no chicks" sign on Jesse's bedroom door. *ding* Fun review. At first I thought it was tasteless and homophobic but then I realized you were just having fun with the material.

Darn, this movie's like an Eye Spy. No matter how many times you look, you'll always spot something different.
I'm glad that you got the joke, and it was one of my greatest concerns making the episode that people would read it wrong.
To be honest, I think that's why most critics steer clear of this one; they're concerned people will accuse them of homophobia.

I enjoy the return of the face palm. That may not be how it used to be done, but it certainly is the way it should be from now on.

I'm not sure if this is intentional, but at the end of the video there are links to 'future' Terror-Obscura videos that aren't linked on the main page, like 'Monsters', 'aNoES 3', and 'The Funhouse'.

Sorry if that's caused any confusion, but the truth is I had produced all my episodes up to Monsters before being picked up by the 'Booth. Rather than trying to stick them all on here at once, which would clog the main page with my stuff and prevent any of it from getting any attention, we've elected to distribute them here one at a time until we reach the current episode. Right now, I face a similar problem on another website that's picked up the show, but I'm hoping that it will be resolved over the next few months. Sharp eye though, and I hope you enjoy them all!

Only caused a slight bit of confusion, really. I was more upset, because it turned out what I was watching was more like 'upcoming epsidoes' and not, like, a backlog of years worth of stuff from when I wasn't aware of your show.
Turns out that the main reason I'm fairly new to your show is because it's fairly new, and that was the only disappointing thing.
Awesome stuff.
