I’m probably the only horror fan who’s been watching every horror movie I could get my hands on for the past thirty years, and somehow just never saw the original Chainsaw…until this past year. I finally watched the whole thing in something akin to HD on youtube. It was powerful, it worked on every level, and to me it justified its ranking as one of the all-time great horror movies. I would put this one above Susperia and way, way, way above Halloween on my personal list of all-time faves.
