Having seen the series proper, i can say with all due respect to you sir, this movie blows.

    thank you.

Oh I agree wholeheartedly. I LOVE the series, and this movie was just a slap in the face.

  • I nearly died at the gangnam style part xD Good job.

At first I wasn’t sure about going with that song, but then the way their stomping feet matched the song made me use it after all.

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHA…haha…oh, dear god, hearing this movie praised is ridiculously funny. :p

The only good thing I have to say about this movie is that it got me to watch the series. I will be seriously unhappy if Shyamalan tries to make the second movie or attempts a Legend of Korra movie. Fingers crossed that neither one is ever inflicted upon the world. O_O

    I hate this movie…

See people see? I don’t like every-thing! This movie.. man I hate it.

Also.. hah, lol, funny video X)

Way to prove your point, hating a movie that EVERYONE hates. 😉

I haven’t seen the movie, or the TV show, so the only thing I know about it comes from the public reaction.  But if EVERYONE hates it, and not even in a fun-to-laugh-at-it way, well, I’m not surprised Shyamalan’s name has become such box-office poison (with his name not even mentioned in trailers for his own movies anymore).  Even the Prequels and Transformers movies have their defenders, but this is the closest thing to a positive review I’ve seen of it anywhere.  And it’s all a damned lie. :p

         I know right!

I hate the same stuff every-body else hates, boy am I clever! 😀

Well, all the reasoning behind this hate is because people LOVE the show that it’s based on, and it’s even a recent show so it’s recent love.. this didn’t even bring some-thing back or breathed new life into some-thing that was becoming old. The show was NEW, and people still love the hell out of it, and I do to!

That show is clever, smart, emotionally engaging, beautiful, funny and just all-around damn great.
Along comes this god damn movie which is not as much as one of those things.. not one. It’s not clever, it’s not smart, it’s not emotionally engaging, some-times it’s sort of visually appealing but even then the show throws it out of the park, and not even the shows trade mark humour is present at all. This movie is just one big down-grade, it doesn’t improve a single thing, and it’s all around just a shitty movie based on some-thing so damn great. So yeah! there you have it!

Don’t shit on peoples fandomn, we’ll get pissed about it.

Urhm.. I changed my mind about the dark knight rises, it’s not a good movie, in fact, except for cinematogrophy and some actos performances.. it’s pretty bad. Dumb script.

  • There are, of course, going to be many details lost when adapting an entire season of a Cartoon Series into a single movie.

I actually applaud M. Night’s efforts on it.  I realize many fans hated them, but I really liked the Casting, the Story, and the Special Effects.  Despite the fact that I liked what many fans didn’t, I still did NOT like this movie.

My dislike is the Execution of How the story is told, rather than the story itself. I hate wasted potential.

Like you said Cinema Slob, exposition needs to be handled carefully.  This Movie Blatantly violates the Hollywood rule of “Show, don’t tell,” so many times.  We almost never see things unfold naturally; Often, things happen, because we’re told they happen, via narration (and during a montage).

Yeah, I didn’t like it because it felt like I was being read a book, rather than being shown a movie.

I agree with you. Well the casting could of been better. But personally if it were me. I cast a bunch of 20 year olds:). I think the story is because of The script M had to use. I think with this being done by Nickelodeon.  There was probably a list that M had to follow. With he doing a script that was written by Nick. I don’t think they realized how putting a 8+ hour into a hour and a half movie. This movie should have been a least 2 hours if they were going to do that.
The movie was alright. I suggest waiting a few years(When Korra done) then get the people of Crank to make their own script. I see that.

I sense a small bit of sarcasm.
