Skyfall (2012)
Posted Dec 4, 2012 by Joshua Bell

“This is the most interestingly human, yet still recognizably Bond that the character has seemed in a long time, if ever.”

Skyfall (2012)
Mr. Mendo's Hack Attack #35

Mr. Mendo reviews Skyfall, the latest film in the James Bond franchise, starring Daniel Craig and Javier Bardem.

Quantum of Solace (2008)
The Movie Skewer #11
Posted Nov 9, 2012 by Dr. Winston O'Boogie

Daniel Craig and the Bond filmmakers silenced the critics with Casino Royale, then got them all shooting off their mouths again with this entry, thanks to an unfinished screenplay, a boring villain, and some of the most confusing editing ever seen in the franchise. Luckily, we're here to make sense of it all for you.

Jane Blond DD7 (2006)
The Porn Critic #9
Posted Nov 8, 2012 by Porn Critic

The Porn Critic celebrates the release of the new Bond film with Jane Blond DD7, a "parody" of James Bond, but only in the sense that they both vaguely have something to do with secret agents.

Daniel Craig is 007, who must face off against Le Chiffre, banker to the world's terrorist organizations. In the novel, they played baccarat, but nobody knows what the hell that is anymore, so here they play Texas hold 'em poker. Well, in between the ads for Sony products, anyway.

Die Another Day (2002)

“This movie is pretty much the Moonraker of its time.”

Moonraker (1979)

“This film is not boring. But then, neither is racing down the highway in a car that’s on fire.”

Tomorrow Never Dies (1997)
The Blockbuster Chick #2

Pierce Brosnan as James Bond has to thwart the diabolical plans of a media tycoon who's hell-bent on... getting broadcasting rights in China. Along the way, Bond gets the help of Michelle Yeoh as the standard "ass kicking female sidekick", and sleeps with Teri Hatcher playing the standard "bad guy's wife who has a complicated past with 007".

Never Say Never Again (1983)
Mr. Mendo's Hack Attack #8
Posted Jul 26, 2011 by Michael A. Novelli

“Mr. Mendo once again explores the world of subpar James Bond films with Never Say Never Again, featuring Sean Connery returning to the role of 007 after a 12 year absence. In the movie, Blofeld threatens to detonate two stolen nuclear warheads unless SPECTRE’s demands are met, which eventually leads to a massive underwater battle. And if that synopsis sounds familiar, it’s because Never Say Never Again was legally required to have the exact same plot as Thunderball.”

An Interview with Albert Moses, Beloved British Character Actor
Posted Nov 28, 2010 by Michael A. Novelli

“It’s not easy to make your way in a strange country, but to make your way and end up a Knight of the Order of St. John? Not such an easy thing to do. Throw in some documentary work, motorcycle stunts, and being James Bond’s costar not once, but twice, and that sounds like a sweet deal to me. The only man I know of who did all this is Albert Moses, so join me as we discuss crass comedy, Dinka documentaries, manic Maharajahs, and much, much more!”

Climax! Mystery Theater “Casino Royale”
Posted Aug 15, 2006 by Amanda Wells

I've been asked to give a synopsis of the 1954 live TV version of Casino Royale, originally seen on the CBS series Climax! Mystery Theater, and now featured as an extra on the DVD of the 1967 movie. Primarily, I'm reviewing this to show that Ian Fleming wasn't high when he wrote the book, and there actually is a coherent story the makers of this version thoughtfully chose to use, more or less. The '67 movie might convince you otherwise, what with its bold choice not to use the book's plot. Or any plot, for that matter.

This show, the third episode of Climax!, was supposedly meant as a pilot for a never-developed James Bond series. But even in this version, many of the details have been changed. James Bond is now an American agent working for the "Combined Intelligence Agency". He's still a very good baccarat player, but he's known here as "Jimmy". Way to kill his coolness quotient.
