VIDEO: Doctor Who (1996)

It’s the 1996 made for American TV movie Doctor Who, where Sylvester McCoy passes the sonic screwdriver to the next generation, namely the Eighth Doctor, played by Paul McGann. Also, Eric Roberts shows up to completely ruin the movie with his appearance as the dreaded Master.

VIDEO: DOA: Dead or Alive (2006)

Based on the video game of the same name, it’s a film with a risky concept: Gather four hot women (Holly Valance, Devon Aoki, Sarah Carter, Jaime Pressly), put them in as little clothes as possible, and have them fight each other! Luckily for Cecil, the concept works, making for one of the best video game adaptations ever.

The Specialist (1994) (part 4 of 4)

“For some reason, this film was marketed as a more ‘serious’ movie, even though I’m pretty certain anybody who’s a fan of either Sylvester Stallone or Sharon Stone doesn’t go to the movies for serious dramatics. Stallone’s fans go to see him kill a lot of things and be macho, and Stone’s fans go in the vain hope she’ll do another leg spreading scene like in Basic Instinct. To be fair, she does get naked in this film. On the downside, so does Sly.”

Doctor Who (1996) (part 4 of 4)

“So, basically, in the first minute of the movie we’ve managed to see seven rather stupid mistakes that are guaranteed to annoy most fans of the original series. Well done! It’s seldom a movie manages to have that many problems in such a short span of time. That’s one stupid mistake about every eight seconds! I am impressed.”
