VIDEO: Coyote Ugly (2000)

Movie Dad is inept, but we’re supposed to be sympathetic, Melissa’s dad is a jerk, but we’re not, and just what exactly is emotional labor anyway? Also in this video, Ursa reviews Hester Browne’s 2005 novel The Little Lady Agency.

Nice to hear from you again, Jill. I’m pretty sure I’ve seen Coyote Ugly, but it left very little impression on me.

It’s very much that kind of movie. 🙂

I bought it couple of years ago on DVD, didn’t know anything about it, except from that scene, that they referenced in Charmed. Erm… yeah, it’s not a flick, hat I’m in a great hurry to see again.

Although it has some interesting plot-points, it’s not that interesting. Unfortunately.

It’s the kind of movie I call a skimmer. You play the movie (borrowed, rented, or bought super cheap) and watch it entirely on fast forward and get the idea of the plot based on what’s flashing by. Once in a while something interesting happens on screen and you play the disk (or tape, since this was on VHS in the final VHS era) properly and take in just that one scene, Then instead of wasting two hours you can get as much out of the movie in fifteen minutes and still have time to watch that movie/show you do want to watch.

And Jill/Ursa, so nice to hear you gracing these forums again. You’re the last female video producer left on Agony Booth. And to think at the peak there were six of you guys on staff at once (which is a fan art I’ve been wanting to make for years now, even today years after the fact).
